I'm posting this to alert anyone who's got large multivalued attributes they may want to sum in AQL. A friend of mine logged a case recently where a correlative using the S() function would hang when the file has any items where the attribute in question has more than 32,768 values. Engineering confirmed that this is an AQL limitation because it's using a 16-bit signed variable to track the value count. This variable is used in many places in AQL, and it would be a huge task to rearchitect. In the course of debugging this, Engineering came up with a workaround by using CALL in the correlative. This not only removed the 32,768-value limit, but it is also MUCH faster. Example of the correlative that hangs (using multivalued attribute 9 in the example): 008 A;S(9) Example of the correlative that works (again using multivalued attribute 9 in the example): 008 call bp sumbal Might be a good idea to fully path the subroutine being called. Hello My customer has a pre-production DRP test today. We switch iCluster Primary Node to DR site and cut DC-DR data link and they made some app transactions for an hour from 6-7 users. Then we restore DC-DR data link and I start DR to DC replication.  When I look at WRKCSMON screen at the Backup node and press F5 to refresh from time to time, I see additional information at the bottommost line of the screen below.   The percentage and the file name keep changing slowly as I keep pressing F5. It has been about an hour now and I see about 15 file names so far. Many times, the line is blank for sometimes before a new name appears.  It appears like a progress report but I would like to know how to interpret it.  Is it a progress of *SAVRST or *RBR or some other information?  This information does not appear in Primary node. Hello I am hoping someone can help with an AccutermIO query. We are following the instructions..... AccuTerm Release Information V8 and we are trying to create a profile. 2 Profiles already exist, thet were created prior to Rocket aquiring Zumasys. When we create a profile we are not getting a check box display for the Role (admin/dev).  We create the profile anyway, but when we launch Accuterm we get the error No profiles have been created. Please login to Portal and create one.  Can anyone please advise on what we are doing wrong. Hello, I have a script to launch the  ACCUTERM GUI application from a shortcut in desktop but when the user closes the GUI application the ACCUTERM session is still active letting the user to play around, so the user has to close again the ACCUTERM session.  We need a script to launch the GUI application and when closing it also close ACCUTERM session so the user gets back to desktop screen.   I tried  the  following script but it is not working: .Output "RUN GUIBP GUIAPPLICATION" & ChrW$(13).WaitFor 0, 8, "o:" .Output "QUIT" & ChrW$(13) I will appreciate any advice. Hi, I created a DLL for our AcuCobol program. In our system, we have folders like1. swrun\\acucorp\\bin2. swrun\\activex The DLL works only when the DLL is placed and registered in swrun\\acucorp\\bin.What do I need to have to do to work the DLL from swrun\\activex folder? I've been asked this before, but did not have an answer!  On Unidata -- in a dictionary -- to do a multivalue OCONV, the command is SUBR("-OCONVS",X,Y) The question I got asked:   "Why is there a "-" in front of that code?" And I was not sure!  Is that because it's a system function?  It's not actually documented as to WHY -- just that it IS. I just looked over the Using UnIData 8.2.4 doc to make sure it was not something documented. Nevermind, figured it out. Apparently this forum is an excellent rubber duck. If some kind soul at Rocket would add SQL.WLONGVARCHAR and SQL.WVARCHAR to ODBC.H that would be very nice.

In the world where OpenDB can write D3 data to (say) an Oracle Table, have any of you had the experience to (for whatever reason) write from Oracle to D3? In other words – (say using the ODBC) - I can use SQL statements to INSERT/UPDATE and DELETE a row; this "instruction" is driven from the Oracle side in order to facilitate a D3 file (record) to be modified (WRITTEN TO / UPDATED / DELETED). How do you deal with the aspect of Multivalued fields – the D3 SQL documentation is a little flaky IMO and there are no real examples of what I wish to achieve and that is to INSERT/UPDATE a value within a MULTIVALUE (defined) attribute. The “safe” alternative is to write to a “normalised” D3 table and then have a function in D3 to sort things out! I'd like to know how you may have solved this in a more elegant manner. We have hundreds of desktops running wIntegrate version 6.4.4.  After migrating to RHEL we want to find an easy method to enable SSO for all our desktops with wIntegrate.   We would like to run an automated script (using powershell or something) to update all our desktops so we don’t have to update each desktop individually, but the manual states that you cannot edit the session .wic files with a text editor because the files are in a binary format… that you need to use the wIntegrate Editor to edit the .wic files.  This doesn’t sound like something that can be easily automated. We have experimented with using a text editor (Notepad++) to update a .wic file before, and wIntegrate seems to properly recognize the changed setting... so it seems feasible that an automated powershell script could find and update all .wic files with a new setting.  Has anybody else had success updating settings in a wIntegrate .wic session file without using the wIntegrate editor to comp

i'm using 10.0.1 runtime on windows platform and basic pattern matching seems to work fine but if I try something that uses the logical OR operator (|) it fails to match.  For example, this expression works (matches on "test 2, test1"):  test2.*test1 This one doesn't find any matches (should at least match the above example):  test1|test2 My runtime-exp-flg is set to 1 to ignore case which works on the first example.  I have also tried 0, 3,5, 11. I realize part of the challenge is my regex skills but if anyone has good example of it working or suggestions, I would appreciate it.  #extend#AcuCobol
