We are using this utility to move some Universe data to QM. Works good. This utility makes us select the files to move, and we now have a list of data files to move. we would like to automate this so, that I could call a program and somehow move like 8 or 10 files, instead of manually selecting the files. Good morning everyone, We have an issue with a TRANSACTION COMMIT failing with a STATUS = 3. The Unibasic subroutine containing the TRANSACTION START/COMMIT code is called from the outside as a web service. This failure is intermittent.  What can cause the STATUS code = 3 ? It's been a while since I had a need to do this. Anyway, I have a process that runs through a file to move data to another system.  I like using the spooler for this since it makes it easy to verify the data. The secondary print will deal with some corresponding multi-values that can be too large to flatten out in the main print job.  Since both are running from the same file it would be nice to be able to print both reports at the same time.  My alternative is to build a sequential file for the 2nd report and copy it to the spooler. I just bought a copy of OpenQM to test some of my applications.  My first program to test is a main menu.  In this MVBASIC program I draw a character outline around the border of the screen, the fill in the menu options.  The program then calls a suproutine called XPRMT.  I use the XPRMT subroutine for all keyboard input in all programs, it is the only INPUT statement in my systems.  One of the parameters that I pass to XPRMT is PSTR which is the prompt string which XPRMT prints at @(0,24), the bottom of the screen.  In UniVerse this routine works perfectly, but in OpenQM it was displaying the PSTR value over the bottom line of the border which is row 23.  My last line printed in the menu program was the log off selection at row 22.  After much code changing in XPRMT, I modified the menu program to display the menu selections first and the draw the border and that presented everything properly.  What I see is that even though the XPRMT instruction is "PRINT@(0,24):PSTR;", PSTR is being

Right now my RESTful calls come back as Error 500 unable to connect during a dbpause.  If I turn on the serverdebug I can see in the logfile the message: dbpause is set, try logging in later (or something like that).  I see the same message from telnet logins. d3 all versions. To my knowledge, this has been around forever; but it has always been something I thought was totally inconsistent: File A and File B are related to each other. An attribute on File B is a mv. From File A I wish to use a dictionary item that returns that File B attribute; and so use a t-correlative such as:T(FILEB;X;;n)where n is the integer amc number of the attribute on File B I want. This works perfectly if n is single valued; but if n is multi-valued the result is all the values delimited by a <space>; not returned as a mv. Why? It strikes me this is entirely inconsistent with mv principles. Now, with that said; is there a way around this in a dictionary item [apart from doing a call subroutine] using F or A type syntax? Forgive me if this has been asked before.  We're running an emulation called BluVista and we're thinking of slowly migrating to Accuterm or wIntegrate. I see in Accuterm , using some emulations that I should be able to get an answerback.  I wrote a sample program to send a CHAR(5) to trigger the answerback and when I run the program I do in fact see the answerback string displayed on the screen but I cannot figure out how to capture that string programmatically.  I've tried input, inputif, etc and I never see the string in the input buffer. Has anyone on here successfully used the answerback string in Accuterm? Hi all Is there a way tu call pip via RUNPY? No supported signature schemes exist SSH.   I know that upgrading these to 8.1.2 corrects the issue, but we have over 200 installs of AccuTerm that we need to upgrade, but would like to upgrade Solaris first.  Any solutions?

Hi all, i have a bit of an issue with U2 ODBC trying to connect to uniVerse DB. I installed (at the then time v530 of client tools (ODBC 64bit) onto a workstation and then i was able to connect to the DB and query. Since then i have installed ODBC tools onto another workstation/pc/server (both on premise and within Azure) and completed the same setups i did previously but on these they do not work. i keep getting the same error message (as shown at the bottom of this post) i cannot use the existing workstaiton/PC as that client is not the one i will be completing the connection from when in prod (as it is my workstation used for testing) and also cannot use as unirpc is locked down to specific IP (the new workstation/PC i want to use in Azure).  With this being said, if i try to install ODBC onto another workstation, same result, doesn't connect. i am using both the ODBC Tester from the ODBC tools and the Test Connection option from windows (ODBC Data Sources 64-Bit) after creat

I inherited an old MVBase system running on windows.  I tried SH and CMD and cannot shell out.  Is this possible?  Also, I would like to make a file pointer to a directory in windows.  Is this possible?  I found that I can use a UOPEN to open an os file and write to a file.
