Hello, it is me again fighting UOPY. I need to push a big file, and after multiple testing, I found that I could not push a file bigger than 128K. The process hangs there forever. Is this a Unidata limitation or a UOPY limitation? Is there a way to change this limit? Here is my code: def pushFile(dname, fname): f = open(dname+'/'+fname,'rb') lines = f.read() f.close() print('done reading') # print(lines) udfile = uopy.File(dname,session=_session) udfile.write(fname, lines) udfile.close() print("file uploaded") Any help is greatly appreciated.------------------------------Alejandro GarciaSoftware Engineer ManagerF W Davison and Company Inc. We’re excited to share that SB/XA 6.6.4 is available as of November 24th! This update is packed with updates that respond directly to customer feedback across the SB/XA Rich Client, Application Server, MV-MX integration, and SBClient. Let’s walk through what’s new and what’s been fixed. What’s New – Empowering Users with Flexibility and Control1. SB/XA Rich Client goes ANYCPUWe’ve rebuilt the SB/XA Rich Client as an ANYCPU application. This means it can now run seamlessly on both 32-bit and 64-bit environments without needing separate builds, simplifying deployment and future-proofing your systems.2. Smarter MV-MX IntegrationWe’ve added the ability to generate MX drivers in both mv and JSON formats for Input/Output screens. This opens up integration possibilities with external systems and modern APIs, giving you more flexibility in how you connect and share data.3. Silent Install for SB/XA Application Server (Windows)Installing the SB/XA Application Server on Windows just got easier. W

Just putting this out there. I’ve had a couple of cases where people upgraded D3 to 10.3.3 or 10.3.4 and started having weird problems with MVSP. In both cases, we upgraded MVSP to 1.8.21 and it solved the issue. When upgrading D3, it’s not good to simply restore your existing MVSP account, especially if you’re going to 10.4. Anybody out there ready to upgrade, please contact me so I can get you the MVSP 1.8.21 version and help you install it. The reason it’s not posted in the RCP Downloads is because the pseudo tape is NOT a patch but rather an account-save, and the steps are different. We can post all day long, but afraid that the instructions will not get read and someone will try to use it as a patch. Most of you know where to find me (bcram@rocketsoftware.com) and many of you already have my cell phone number. If you can’t get to me by other means, just reply to this and I’ll reach out.

We are looking at trying to enhance some of our VUE apps to be more reactive with the DB. I was wondering if MVIS supported any webhooks for VUE applications. We have build a nodejs server that will communicate with our D3 server and watch for changes and then our VUE app will await the webhook and update the application with the changes. The proof of concept works but I really hate adding one more server, nodejs in the mix of things that could go wrong. We are still using the Zumasys MultiValue Dashboard interface for all our web to D3 services. Hi community,Plateforme : windows server 2016, uv 14.1.1.1002, Over the past few days, we’ve been experiencing random errors on uv static files. The same error messages appear repeatedly — expected blink 0x0 or 0x10000.These errors can occur up to ten times a day and affect various files (e.g., VOC, XXPROCESS, XXPPP, etc.), the most strange is these files are mainly used for read.... To resolve them temporarily, we use fixtool -fix (at boot uv, else the files are locked). Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? We’ve already checked our antivirus, but the problem persists.Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated ;) With kind regards Manu

Enhancing Your Development Experience with New Features and Fixes in Rocket Software MV BASIC for VS Code 2.7.0 In the ever-evolving world of software development, staying ahead of the curve means continuously improving tools and workflows. We're excited to announce several new features and enhancements that will significantly boost your productivity and streamline your development process when using Rocket Software MV BASIC for VS Code. Separate Compile and Catalogue Option One of the standout features in our latest update is the separate compile and catalogue option. This enhancement allows developers to compile their programs independently from cataloguing them. By decoupling these processes, you gain greater flexibility and control over your development workflow. This means you can compile your code, test it thoroughly, and only catalogue it when you're confident it's ready for deployment. This separation helps in reducing errors and improving the overall quality of your software.

HelloI am testing the new-ish 'DT' conversion code in UV 11.3.5 (on RHEL8) and am having no success getting it to do what seems like simple conversions. For those wanting to learn MVIS, I have created two (free) step by step guides to creating an MVIS/REST backed website. The first of these uses Vue 3, which is arguably (well I will argue) the most friendly of the client side typescript style of web frameworks, and the second uses Microsoft's .NET Blazor so you can take your pick. The guides will work with the U2 Trial Editions and the software is free. Some knowledge of TypeScript or C# would be useful but you can probably follow on without it. I've posted these on the new Rocket Innovations section, or you can download them from the Free Training section of my website (www.brianleach.co.uk). Have fun and good luck!------------------------------Brian LeachDirectorBrian Leach ConsultingChipping Norton GB------------------------------
A couple of posts outlining how I go about importing and exporting things, I use /etc/passwd as the example as I needed a script to move some users over. Hello all - we are switching from one box (unix) to another (linux). We have some programs that check server IP, hostname, uname - to know if the user is addressing our test or production environments. Our question is does anyone know of a Unidata environment variable that holds this type of information we could query easily? Thanks for any ideas!
