Hi All Perhaps a short one, but can someone please confirm that the super Q pointers ONLY work across D3 installations with THE SAME rev version? Assuming the hosts file has been setup correctly for this exercise . IOW, I should NOT expect to communicate (as via a LIST verb) to D3 machine A (where A is D3 version 10.x) and an older D3 version (say 7.x).I am able to do same 7.x to 7.x - that's OK BUT NOT 10.x to 7.xJust require confirmation. Or is there a solution which I don't know of?Thanks

Hi all,I am having a problem with sudo 1.8.6p3. I know, I know this is not the latest release, but we're still not ready to deploy miniconda, so please bear with me.The problem is that upon executing some commands I get a SIGPIPE.Example: yesterday I was experimenting with some sudoers rules and I launched this one (real user has been amended):sudo -H -n -u XXXXX -- git ls-remote --tags origin "refs/tags/PROD*"which ends immediately with this error: CEE5213S The signal SIGPIPE was received.The same command executed without sudo (from the correct user) works perfectly.I have tried googling around but I do not find anything. in the past as these are test VM's running rocky linux on my personal laptop I usually just disable the firewall so I can use ext admin tool to create accounts and suchbut if I wanted to keep the firewall up what ports do I need to open up so I can still access via ext admin tool?thanks

Years ago, in a different forum, someone posted a proc/paragraph they called LSELECT that, as I recall, allowed you to take a select list of values for a specific attribute in a file and select all the records in that file that contained any of the values in the select list. It was very clever.The machine I installed it on is long since off-line. If anyone else has it, I would love to recreate it on the machine I am on now.BTW, i am using Unidata 8.1

Does a command exist for UniData that will list all the data files with triggers in a data account?I could write a routine to do it, but I'd rather not reinvent a wheel that exists.Thank you

We use the replication monitoring phantoms - MONITOR.REPLOG and MONITOR.REPSTATUS.  While we can start/stop/update them manually, we used to have a VB-based application to do so - provided to us by Rocket.  Unfortunately, we've lost that software.  If it's readily available for download on the Rocket site, we have not been able to find it there.Where can I find the VB software for controlling the replication monitoring phantoms?Thanks in advance!Brian Paige

My apologies upfront as I am clueless about  the subject for which I'm about to request assistance.I want to install curl on z/OS.  I've used curl on other platforms and am interested to install on z/OS.  I downloaded the package from the Rocket download site, I went to the readme, install,  and other docs and z/OS is mentioned only in the "list of operating systems" but not as an install location.  From looking through this forum, it appears that other tools are used to install this curl version on USS..z/OS?  I need "For Dummies" version of where to even begin to install curl on z/OS.  Any help would be appreciated.

All,I recently had to start converting UTF-8 characters to ascii. I have a simple Unix /bin/sh script that does the conversion. It works fine from RHEL 6. When I run a BASIC program with EXECUTE SH -c 'same command' The results are basically correct, but the UTF-8 characters are returned as '?'s.Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Script:#!/bin/shtemp=$(mktemp)eval "$1 -o $temp"cat $temp | iconv -c -f UTF-8 -t ascii//TRANSLITrm $temp$1 is a curl command to access a web call. The iconv Unix command translates from UTF-8 to ascii. The temp variable is the name of a unique temp file. I create it, use it and remove it.The execute in questions looks like EXECUTE SH -c 'curl command'Curl works, the temp file contains the web call data with the UTF-8 characters in it. From Unix it works correctly, from UniVerse the translation is flawed.Due to the API containing keys and such, I have not included them here, but they don't appears to have much to do with the problem.Jon

HiDoes anyone know when UniVerse will stop being developed for the HP-UX Itanium platform? Can I also ask if anyone knows when the platform will stop being supported (EOS/EOL)?I'm in the process of upgrading a customer to UniVerse 11.3.4 on the Itanium platform and the customer was enquiring about release 12.x. We're running Entrinsik's Informer against Unidata 8.2.1 on Redhat 7, and the logs show an error suggesting that we increase the VFIELDSIZE.Their recommendation is to increase it - globally - to 10K, which I'm happy to do.Is there a way to get it to take effect without having to restart Unidata?

Just started working with the uopy python library. I'm able to connect successfully and run all the basic examples provided with no issues, but as soon as I started to extend it out to run some subroutines I've written, I started getting "Subroutine Error [30107] : The subroutine failed to complete successfully". Not entirely sure what would cause this as the same subroutine runs fine when ran outside of uopy. One thing I did notice is if I remove the READV statement within the subroutine, I do not receive this error. Below is the test subroutine I have been using.Any help greatly appreciated. Hi all,How does one prevent users from resizing screens in SB/XA by dragging the bottom right hand corner of a screen?Screen sizes can also get messed up if screen resolution is really low.Note: I'm not talking about zooming.Also if a user does resize a screen... Is there a way to have it reset back to the original dimensions as was defined when the screen was created in the screen designer?Some dialogs such as intuitive search dialogs reset by double clicking the bottom R/H corner but this doesn't seem to work for my screens.Thanks in AdvanceAaron

Hello,I am trying to remove licensed users who are no longer working for the company to make room for new users and reuse of their licenses. Aldon is refusing to remove the old user and displays message ID CMS4280.What is a "non-conflict condition"? Do the objects need to be check-in on behalf of the no longer available user or can the check-out be transferred to a new user? Thanks for the help.Patrick
