Hello,We previously encountered “SSH Open Channel Failure” error whenever we do activities like Create, Check out, etc. Then job log outcome for each activities will be slow, it gets displayed after 5 minutes. But still job logs are displayed. Based on that we came to the conclusion that we have to increase our sshd config MaxSession value. But after increasing it, we encountered a new error when doing different activities. This is what it says in the RDO Action OutputCPC1221: Job 464623/USER/ACMSCREATE submitted to job queue JOBQ in library LIB.CMS9911: Program ACMSCREATE completed successfully.  The highest CMSnnnn message severity received was 0.TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim') This is our setup:VS Code version: 1.142.0Rocket DevOps Extension: 11.3.0Aldon (RDOi): V 11.2-02 Any idea on this? Hi Team, Is there a way we can find if the query which is active for so long is progressing at all or not? We see some sessions/queries active in the query_requests/sessions but not really sure if they are moving or just a stale connection which is stuck to close the session. Do we have any easier way to find if the query is moving or not?

In large enterprise environments, document delivery can quickly become complex. Different applications, different formats, different printers and different destinations.Cypress Auto Format helps simplify that.Instead of relying on a fixed one-to-one relationship between a job and a device, Cypress can examine the content of the incoming print file and automatically determine the appropriate format. It can also support routing based on requirements coming from enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft. The result is much greater flexibility: documents can be directed to the right device or recipient, and Auto Format can help make jobs portable across the enterprise rather than tying them to a single destination. Cypress documentation describes this as enabling documents to be printed at enterprise destinations without requiring format instructions to be specified for every job. For organisations managing large volumes of business-critical output, that can mean less manu

Are there any suggested alternatives for creating VSAM files with record sizes exceeding the File Handler record length limit of 62KB? Attempting to allocate a dataset exceeding this limit results in a  JCLAM0142S Error.

Hi there,Is it possible with current IDE Menu API (10.4.04) to add a multilevel menu to global IDE hamburger menu ?I would like to add “GSX extensions” as main item and one level down other 3 to 4 items, having one of these another level down. The data structure passed to API is a “struct” so technically should be possible but my initial tests did not work.If it should be possible an example for “getGlobalMenuOptions()” operation will be an added value. Thanks for any answer.Best regards,Gianni

Hi all,I am trying to trace down an annoying issue related to opening files in Uniface Runtime but unfortunately I am not able to identify an origin and a solution. Here it is the scenario:    - A centralized server (Windows 2019 Datacenter) sharing a disk    - All users (normally 120 but up to 150 concurrent) refers to this server to startup a Uniface application in C/S mode    - Log is activated for all sessions ($ioprint = 1)The system is up’n running 24x7 and issues I am going to list are happening mainly from 8:00 to 20:00 when most users are at work but there are cases also outside this timeframe like in the evening (20:00 to 24:00)  and also in the middle of the night (00:00 to 06:00).Issues:    - 20% (extimated) = daily Uniface sessions terminating without any signal or message or other… nothing!    - 79% = Session unable to write log file on shared disk (message:    ULOG Error: Failed to write to .\log\[NETWORK_NODE_NAME]_[PROCESS_PID].log) in this case a UNIxxxxx.log file is c

This subject seems to be changing every week. (Yes, I have read the AI posting form @Mike Rajkowski  from 2 years ago, but we are living in the super-fast lane) I keep seeing new AI’s focusing on specific niches.   According to my Google AI search Claude and Lovable are the current AI that understand Unibasic (I always search for Unibasic because PICK and BASIC are too generic).  I decided to explore Lovable with a paid subscription and have had good results creating MV programs.  I even uploaded sample MV A/R accounting module documentation, and Lovable generated working screens and programs (not MV programs) with logic to connect with a LiteSQL database!!! I could use the screens on desktop and mobile devices. I do plan on fine-tuning my results to use Unibasic and see what it does.  What is everyone using, and for what purpose?

Hello,We are currently using D3 and noticed that the number of RPC client connections is limited to 3, as shown by the :MAXUSERS command.During some long-running update processes (updating more than 4,000 items), an RPC connection remains allocated for 1 to 2 minutes, which can become a limitation when multiple processes run simultaneously.Could you please confirm whether the maximum number of RPC client connections can be increased? If so:Is this a configurable parameter? Does it require an additional license? What is the maximum supported number of RPC client connections?Thank you for your assistance.Best regards,

Is the use and setting of the FCD information different between native COBOL and NET COBOL?My reason for asking is that I have taken the code from our native application straight across into a NET COBOL equivalent and I am finding that setting the address for the file name and key block is not being taken across to our external filehandler correctly.

Hello everyone,  based on your experience con you suggest Minimum/maximum required internet bandwidth (and suggested latency and Jitter) for an AcuConnect Thin Client (v. 10.5.0) App (an ERP) for 15 users?I understand that is involved the behaviour of underlying programs, but we’re facing some different User Experience and current bandwith seems to have relevance. Thanks in advance, Giovanni

Another week, another Cypress 9.6 feature spotlight! This time, we’re highlighting two Thin Client enhancements that make everyday document work faster and easier.Copy Region TextNeed to capture a specific value from a document, such as a reference number, address, or amount, without downloading the whole file? With Copy Region Text, users can simply draw a box around the area they need and copy the text directly from the document viewer. Save as TIFFCypress 9.6 also adds Save as TIFF to the Thin Client viewer. For customers who rely on TIFF in document management, healthcare, legal, or other image-based workflows, this helps close an important functional gap and makes Thin Client an even stronger alternative to older interfaces. Why this mattersTogether, these two enhancements give users more flexibility right inside the browser:faster access to specific document content, easier export in a widely used format, and a smoother Thin Client experience overall.Small improvements like these ca

Is Visual COBOL not supported in Visual Studio 2026? I received this message when trying to open a .sln created in VS 2022.Thanks

When running my program, I am getting this error:    A 9D,03 error means the XFD is missing - but it is in the folder that our batch file is pointing to, and it is the correct layout.  Anything else that would be causing this error?

We are debating going from V7R4 to either V7R5 or V7R6 on a new P11.  I noticed IBM has withdrawn SDA in V7.R6.  For anyone still using green screen (slowly moving to VS Code) to create screens on V7R6, what do you use to design/create screens?  And is the screen compiler still useable, or has that been removed as well?  TIA
