The latest 6.4.4 version documentation mentions Windows Server 2016 as the latest server version it supports being installed on.Has wIntegrate been tested and/or certified for installation on Windows Server 2019?

Have a customer who wants to use the PDF:API2 and I download it from CPAN (PDF-API2-2.043.tar.gz). I am not sure how install it to USS on z/os. I know there is a CPAN shell but what I tried doesn't seem to work. I am performing below. Getting lot of timeouts. Setup: rm/cobol <=====> RMNet <====> MIRTH <====> API in Sql Server. Test Case: # 20 synchronous call to API from RM/COBOL application. [Breakout condition in our shop] Result # Majority call was successfu. # Few are timeout. [Not able to see request transaction ] Is there any tuning or setup that maybe missing ? Is there anyway to 'Read" a copy file from Working Storage each time the program is ran? Here is a example. For 20 or so programs only certain users can run different functions from the program. Does RMCOBOL support containerization using docker? we have plans to move our application built in RMCOBOL to GCP. One of the question came out is related to possibility of containerizing the application using docker/Kubernetes. I have not seen any info related to this on web. Any leads please? Hi AllI doubt this will be of much use to anyone, but just in case.... I quite seamlessly managed  to do a direct upgrade of a uniface windows app from v7 to v10... which didn't take too long.The DICT conversion posed very little problem, and the formpic  was virtually identical.It required xml export files and notepad ++ using lots of regular expressions and a bit of fixing where my v7 code had anomalies.Happy to share, in case you want to brush off some cobwebs and don't have v8 and v9 to hand.------------------------------Osman ManUniface Community Edition Shared AccountUS------------------------------

Hi AllA v10.4.01 question.I would like to suppress the message: 0129 Error on field FieldName; value is required.My current setup is :- Entity: subtype locking=Y(cautious) Component: Database Access=N(None)The hope being that database access=none would stop any validation but it does not.The fix is to set Entity: subtype locking=N(NoUpdates)The question is if I can have an entity subtype that  can be used for database base access, but at component level could also be turned off.In old uniface versions, locking 'no updates' at frm level is an option.------------------------------Osman ManUniface Community Edition Shared AccountUS------------------------------

Hi, I appreciate Chris Glazier has previously posted that Net Express is not certified on Windows 10. However we have a application developed in Net Express 5.1 which uses the CCITCP interface and CCITCP2 and customers have reported  the application freezing if left open on certain programs for a period of time. Looking at the mfclisrv.log I have noticed large number of CCITC32-0008E and CCITC32-0041E messages in the log. We have a large customer base running different versions of Windows and it will be hard to get them to willingly pay towards the cost of upgrading the existing application to Visual COBOL. Hi FreaksOne of our customers ask me if it is possible to replace Oracle-Java by OpenJDK for the Tomcat web service or if there any restriction of specific (newer) Java-version.We did some update of Oracle-Java and I never was confronted with any problems with Tomcat.Does anyone have experience with OpenJDK and UnifAce/TomcatIs there anthing what could be a show stopper or causes us trouble? Hi - We are currently using Uniface v10.3 and are looking at ways to speed up the build time for the application. Our build process typically runs for a couple of hours and we are looking to cut down this time to a few minutes, if possible. We are currently doing the build using a powershell command and it's being executed as a single thread process.We are looking at options to run the build as a multi-thread process but I didn't find any reference in the documentation on whether/how this can be achieved. I would also like to know why the "full" build takes such a long time and if there are ways to cut it down e.g. caching.Can anyone provide details on the sub-steps involved in a Uniface build - e.g. dependency gathering, compilation of individual components, packaging etc? I am still learning about the Joys of Aldon.  I think I finally see some of the benefits for the library groups.  I did not at the beginning of the current project.  I have some files assigned to 1/1 instead of 1/7.  I do not see a way to correct this.  What am I missing? Hi Uniface Community !We are trying to use Uniface HTML Widget for an interactive graphical user interface in JavascriptUnfortunately, the chromium version used is not a recent one.Version by Uniface :  Chromium 81....Recent version:  Chromium 98 ...The Javascript program we developed in Chrome cannot be used  "as it" in Uniiface... (Not the same Font, Select widgets, appearence etc ...)We also develop using Windev for other applications. When i use the UNDERLINE clause with USING fields it doesn't display the UNDERLINE unless the cursor is at the field. Is there anyway to ALWAYS display the underline for these fields. There are some visual effects with windows11 regarding our application that are quite appealing, for instance that the entry-field that has the focus is "highlighted" by a blue line at the bottom.Is there a way to do such a thing in windows10, too ? Perhaps with manifests ?
