I have Visual COBOL + Microsoft Visual Studio on my Windows 11  laptop. I inadvertently deleted the shortcut that I used to launch Visual COBOL+VS. I cannot figure out how to restore the shortcut. Can anyone advise me on how to rebuild the correct shortcut? Thanks

Summary: Rocket Analyzer is not detecting %INCLUDE statements that are wrapped in conditional compilation directives (%IF).Problem Description: We have a PL/I program `PL1PGM1.pl1` that includes a copybook `PL1INCL1.inc` which contains multiple %INCLUDE statements. Some of these includes are wrapped in conditional compilation directives using %IF statements. Rocket Analyzer's dependency analysis only detects %INCLUDE statements where the conditional compilation evaluates to TRUE based on preprocessor variable values. I have been having issues with Rocket MV BASIC for Visual Studio Code intellisense for weeks now.  I have tried updating the JAVA PATH in the settings to the newer version of Java I have 21.0.11.10.  I keep getting the following error below (local path info omitted).[Error - 3:55:14 PM] Client Rocket MV BASIC Language Server: connection to server is erroring. I’m trying to use CONVERT.SQL on an a very old Unidata system on HPUX. I’m getting this error message. I have a JCL script that executes a COBOL program through a procedure (PROC0001). Specifically, the goal is to pass parameters to the procedure so that any COBOL program can be executed, and this is source code that is running in a production environment. We use UniVerse which allows strings to be quoted with backslashes.I just realised that the backslash quoted strings in MV BASIC are not recognised as strings, and then found it has been a bug since 2022[BUG] Syntax Highlighting Incorrect When Using Backslash ('\') to Delineate String Literals · Issue #167 · mvextensions/mvbasicNot having correct string detection causes flow-on false-positive errors to be presented which make using MV BASIC less valuable as you have to sort through those reports just in case it is hiding a real problem.I used Bing’s search to understand what is needed to sort this out.Bing’s AI indicates this is the snippet needed{  "name": "string.quoted.backslash.mvbasic",  "begin": "\\\\",  "end": "\\\\"}and that it should live in the syntaxes/mvbasic.tmLanguage.json file within the rocketsoftware.mvbasic extension folder.I have not tried this, but if it is as simple as that could it be corrected in the next MV BASIC extension release?

We run GUIDEs every night around 1:00 AM.  On Sunday, one of our files, SODEL, suddenly had thousands of errors on an indexed field (SCHED.DT).  I doubt there were any changes to the file since Friday and we had no errors before.  I pulled up several of the noted records in the editor, went into up-arrow mode, but did not see any errors, control characters, etc. in the data.In a copy of our LIVE account, called MIDNIGHT (a copy of LIVE created ad midnight), and typecat GUIDE_XERROR.LIS | morewe see this:This goes on and on, possibly for all 500K records.  The GUIDE_XERROR.LIS file is huge, over 22 megs.From within UniData, if I type “SSELECT SODEL BY F4”, I get:I get this for a bunch of records (maybe every record).  If I edit the SODELs, none have any escape characters, so what is this error trying to tell me?This is followed by: The keys to the SODEL all look correct.I build a new file called SODEL.JRI and from the command line, copied all the records to this new file.  It has the sa

When using MV BASIC in Online mode I have not been able to open multiple programs into separate tabs.This is a reasonably basic capability to have to support coder productivity.Is it meant to be possible?If so, is there a setting which controls it?

I am trying to look at changing to using the new UX widgets. The ux-button documentation states there’s a property “Icon” which Defines the name of the icon as it exists in the ui-fabric-core library. If name is not specified, no icon is displayed. The default is no icon.  I can find no other references to ui-fabric-core by searching in the documentation, nor does it apparently show up sensibly in my webapps folder(s). How can we find out the name of the icons available?  How can we add new icons so they are available to the ux-button (or others)?  RegardsIain

Yesterday we upgraded to ChangeMan ZMF 8.3.2 and today we get this error when we check in a component from VS Code:  Content error: Record Length(493) exceeds Maximum(80)I checked to make sure I have the correct zmfrest war file.
