The keyboard editor allows you to program function keys with any or all of the standard modifier keys, CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT.  I want to write a program to program a function key but the documentation seems to imply that I can program a CTRL function key (shifted or unshifted) or an ALT function key (shifted or unshifted), but it doesn't seem to allow me to program a CTRL-ALT function key (shifted or unshifted).  I doubt that I would ever personally need a CTRL-ALT-SHIFT function key but I'm writing a little program to allow the user to program his own function key without going into settings.  I'm trying to figure out if I should allow any combination of CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT like it does in the keyboard editor or just allow CTRL (shifted or unshifted) and ALT (shifted and unshifted).------------------------------Steve HenkelDirector of ISRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hi,  I'm testing ChangeMan REST API functions from zmf plug in for zowe cli  using the sample from  Trigger DEMOTE outside the mainframe using Jenkins Pipeline  I've a problem with returned json. Just executing the command  zowe zmf get component -c "PYTCC001" -t "COB" -p "BKA 000435" --zmf-profile "zmfx" > K:/projectsout/mainframe/cmnrestsample/testhttp.json from a Windows Command line (Powershell, cmd, ...) I get a text file with many "dirt" chars. I've tried also a direct connection to Tomcat using only http port but nothing Changes. PKIX refers to ‘Public Key Infrastructure (X.509)’ and errors referring to PKIX may be experienced in various java-based ZMF interfaces when attempting secure (i.e. SSL/AT-TLS) connection between entities/applications. For example, the following message may be reported when attempting a ZMF4ECL connection to a ZMF Server that has the ‘Connections Secured via TLS’ option specified: Connect Error: PKIX patch building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find Valid Certification path to requested target Or this type of error could be seen in the ZMFREST output file of a tomcat task when attempting to create a secure dialog with a Jenkins server: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.j: PKIX path building failed: com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target As suggested by the text in the above messages, these PKIX errors indicate that the java environment cannot fin

Hi  We've been trying and failing to get a satisfactory answer from Rocket support regarding the removal of user keys in version 10.3 IDE (we recently upgraded from 9.7).  Our devs are complaining that the lack of shortcut keys in the 10.3 is significantly slowing down development.  Not only that but with the huge change in the IDE we've decided to retain development in 9.7 and port the code to 10.3.  That's not ideal but it seems to be faster than simply doing it in 10.3.    Does anybody know if this feature is likely to be reinstated in a future version and whether there's going to be a patch for 10.3? Hello, We are able to trigger the demote process by using the Skeleton inside the mainframe without issue. However, application team would like We have a User that is looking to create a Jenkins pipeline that will be initiated by a Package Promote on ZMF. The pipeline will execute a test off-mainframe and if the results are bad, they wish to initiate a Package Demote from the same pipeline. We know how to post an event from the mainframe via skeletons, but how does this work in the other direction. Hello, We have some problem with the ZMF Explorer plugin in VS-Code:some users see the "right click" create package, some others can't.The users which are unable to see the option to create a Package, can see the Package list itself. All those users of course are able to create packages from 3270 ISPF interface.This is what users should see. In the picture the user has the ability to see all the packages for application CM# but no package for application BKA.For some applications, some users can see the full list of the packages, some others (see the picture) will not see anything. Notice: the user that is not able to see BKA packages list is the ChangeMan administrator so RACF is for sure ok. We set up the debug level but we cannot see anything in zmfExplorer.log nor in the Tomcat started task nor in ChangeMan started task. Could it be something related to the UI in VS-Code? In BASIC, strings can be delimited with single quotes, double quotes or back-slashes.  The plug-in doesn't recognize \\s as string delimiters. Also, multi-line strings aren't allowed, but if there's unmatched quotes, the string syntax highlighting will continue across multiple lines until a matching quote is found. Hello all, This is my initial post here. Hope you all are well! I'm searching for some insight. By trade I am more of an Admin, but in my current role I have some developer duties and have inherited some custom work that ranges from fairly simple to robust. Just searching for insight regarding UniQuery. I am actively working for some revisions for Colleague outbound feed; the Select & List criteria currently displays a single list of data. I’m interested in adding an additional column and maybe headers for both.   Currently, the users are only included in the list if they meet the Select criteria. The revisions would result in a full list of users regardless if the meeting the qualifying criteria, a flag being added would solidify yay or nay.  The vendor is requesting a Y or N flag included to be in the data, based on if they meet the selection criteria or not. If a flag doesn’t exist within the Colleague UI to be included in the data output, is it even possible

ChangeMan ZMF 8.3 is the first release to ship all components in PDSE format. Releases prior to 8.3 shipped product libraries in PDS format. However, for a number of years hotfixes supplied for all releases have been shipped in PDSE format. This can lead to users encountering the following type of error when attempting to TSO RECEIVE a PDSE-formatted hotfix executable module (i.e. program object) directly into a PDS-formatted execution library: INMR060I RECEIVE command terminated. Output dataset unusable. + INMR158I A Program Library or member can only be received into a Program Library or an empty PDSE.*** To circumvent this issue users can either receive the hotfix directly into an existing PDSE or omit the target dataset entirely and allow the TSO RECEIVE command to allocate a new PDSE to host the new or updated component(s). The received program objects can then be copied to the required target PDS dataset using IBM utilities (e.g. ISPF option 3.3, IEBCOPY, etc.).#SupportTips/Knowl

I am having an issue running a single program in my project.  I had made some changes to the WPF screen, and in the code as well. When I compile and run my software - when I execute my software, and select the program I changed from the menu, I get the below error message.  MicroFocus.COBOL.COBOLRuntimeException HResult=0x80131600 Message=198 Load failure [Program has an incompatible codepage dependency "PR450000" is using codepage Western European (Windows) but the main program "MSIMenu.App" is using Unicode (UTF-8) Please see documentation for more information.] I am not sure how to fix this - both my menu and the program being called (PR45000) both have this code in my WPF Screen  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> So I am not sure why it is saying this, and when I run any other program that is in the project - they all work correctly.  Where is it seeing that I have the codepage set to Western Europe (Windows) ?

I see in the MVIS config that you can add some username/passwords to be used to force API calls to supply some authorization, namely the username/password configured in the MVIS console.  Wondering if it's possible to do some kind of authorization using the "native" Universe/PICK logins so that when an API is called and then runs a subroutine, that the subroutine being run would think it's being run in the security context of the user based on the supplied credentials.  Maybe something like Basic authorization with the username/password passed in the Authorization header.  Ideally, some kind of token could be generated and this token passed in as a bearer authorization scenario in the headers. Mainly wanting to be able to use the same username/password that a user would  use during a normal login outside of MVIS as part of the  API calls.  Any help/ideas appreciated!
