I am trying ti import my mainframe data conversion macros using the program CASCNVIM but it doesn't recognize CLINTCP=819 MNOTE ***  8,Error , code page 819 not recognized I try with CLINTCP=8859-1 CLINTCP=IBM819 CLINTCP=CP819 CLINTCP=IS0-8859-1 with the same results Where can I get the recognized codepages? Suppose you have a file like TEMP that has NAME, ADDRESS, and PHONE where NAME and ADDRESS are both single values but PHONE is multi value. Like so: TEMP..................... NAME...... ADDRESS... PHONE..... 1                         NAME1      ADDRESS1   PHONE12                         NAME2      ADDRESS2   PHONE2-1                                                PHONE2-2                                                PHONE2-3 If you SELECT TEMP NAME ADDRESS then you will get a list where each record supplies two items to the list, namely the NAME as one item and ADDRESS as another item: 001 NAME1002 ADDRESS1003 NAME2004 ADDRESS2 However, if you SELECT TEMP NAME ADDRESS PHONE then you get at minimum 3 elements per item, but if PHONE happens to have mulitple values, no NAME or ADDRESS is supplied to go with each value. 001 NAME1002 ADDRESS1003 PHONE1004 NAME2005 ADDRESS2006 PHONE2-1007 PHONE2-2008 PHONE2-3 How can I get blanks inserted for NAME and ADDRESS when PHONE has multiple

This may well be covered somewhere. I tried searching, but my impression was that the search results were for ANY forum rather than this particular one, so I kinda drowned in all the results. Assume I have the option/ability to create a copy/paste list of files I want to transfer from the mainframe to the PC. For example 'myuser.a.b(member1)' 'myuser.a.b(member8)' 'myuser.a.b(member25)' Is there a way I can put this into some sort of Notepad script (obviously (?) with commands surrounding the filenames) such that I can then run the script within Secure FTP transfer (or outside) so that (in this example) these 3 files are transferred to the PC (I realize that I would obviously want/have to specify the receiving PC directory where these files end up). In this example, there are only 3 files, in reality, it might be anywhere between 30-50, so being able to create/edit a script list for the transfer would simplify things enormously.  Thank you.------------------------------Michael Simpso

Often you need several assignment files that are almost identical, except for one or two settings. For example, two users on the same system that use the same application each need their own assignment file, if in the [files] section, the user’s home directory needs to be set. Hello all,         I use ODBC from rocket to open tables universe into excel.   It work pretty well for field with Single Value  (S) but not at all for field with Multivalue (M)   Is it the normal behaviour ? Hi, I wanted to check it's okay to have Net Express 5.1 and Visual COBOL 9.0 installed on the same laptop? Will initially be using VC native code and still supporting out Net Express application so I wasn't sure there will not be an issue with the rts. Thanks

Hello all,  I made a python script to read multivalue data in universe account and write in a file as CSV for example.  So, for decoding I use cp850.  Until that everithing working. When it's time to write I receive this error: error cp1252: UnicodeEncodeError: 'charmap' codec can't encode character '\\u2591' in position 88: character maps to «undefined» So decode is good with cp850, ok with that ?  Problem is encoding ?  Maybe I can force encoding in utf-8 but I don't know how to do that ? Hello. I have completely re-imported the album from our IBM I (AS400) and am getting various error messages (number 21592 and 1368 warnings). Eg:- Menu Id reference "OPTIONS" not found - Referenced panel 'MENUS' does not exist One assumption is that these "OPTIONS" come from the templates. How do I get rid of these errors?

As part of our slow migration from CS to DSP, I have a form with an HTML widget, (the only field painted).  On the loaded DSP I have an attributes only field (button) with a call to unifaceTriggers in the onClick. This is supposed to call another instance which runs crystal reports and produces a print. The first click on this field performs the actions as appropriate. After which, none of the fields in the DSP are responsive. Hi allHas anyone else noticed that you need an extra CR when you issue the shutdown (y command in D3 - AFTER it has started the shutdown process?It gets "stuck" (bad word) at a point and unless you hit a CR only then does it do the remainder - shut down the printers and ends the shutdown process to return to Linux. OR should we rather be using the systemctl stop D3svc ?Regards Stefano

The keyboard editor allows you to program function keys with any or all of the standard modifier keys, CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT.  I want to write a program to program a function key but the documentation seems to imply that I can program a CTRL function key (shifted or unshifted) or an ALT function key (shifted or unshifted), but it doesn't seem to allow me to program a CTRL-ALT function key (shifted or unshifted).  I doubt that I would ever personally need a CTRL-ALT-SHIFT function key but I'm writing a little program to allow the user to program his own function key without going into settings.  I'm trying to figure out if I should allow any combination of CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT like it does in the keyboard editor or just allow CTRL (shifted or unshifted) and ALT (shifted and unshifted).------------------------------Steve HenkelDirector of ISRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hi,  I'm testing ChangeMan REST API functions from zmf plug in for zowe cli  using the sample from  Trigger DEMOTE outside the mainframe using Jenkins Pipeline  I've a problem with returned json. Just executing the command  zowe zmf get component -c "PYTCC001" -t "COB" -p "BKA 000435" --zmf-profile "zmfx" > K:/projectsout/mainframe/cmnrestsample/testhttp.json from a Windows Command line (Powershell, cmd, ...) I get a text file with many "dirt" chars. I've tried also a direct connection to Tomcat using only http port but nothing Changes. For example, the following message may be reported when attempting a ZMF4ECL connection to a ZMF Server that has the ‘Connections Secured via TLS’ option specified: Connect Error: PKIX patch building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find Valid Certification path to requested target Or this type of error could be seen in the ZMFREST output file of a tomcat task when attempting to create a secure dialog with a Jenkins server: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.j: PKIX path building failed: com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target As suggested by the text in the above messages, these PKIX errors indicate that the java environment cannot fin
