Status: New IdeaI am using both VSC and IDz to do various tasks (create/edit JCL, create/edit REXX, etc.) that are easier in an IDE than just connecting to the green screens via a terminal emulator package. However, I cannot find context menus to perform ADMIN functions (stub submit jobs, check baseline or staging libraries, etc.). Is this something that you can look into? I realize it's probably a limited use case, but it would sure make my life easier...#ZMF#ZMF4ECL

From Product Support Lifecycle for ChangeMan ZMF v8.2 product, the Current Maintenance End Date is now 30 Sep 2025. www.screencast.com/.../mf4fvc6vE7Y On the other hand, in the platform matrix document for each patch release for this version shows Operating system platform supported. For instance, z/OS 2.5 is supported for ChangeMan ZMF v8.2 patch 06 but I am not sure if this Changeman version is/will be supported in z/OS 3.1 Since the Current Maintenance End Date is now 30 Sep 2025, how can I know if I need to upgrade my ChangeMan ZMF v8.2 if the z/OS is upgraded (for instance, from z/OS 2.5 to z/OS 3.1)?. Apparently, now I would not need to upgrade my ChangeMan v8.2 version. isn't like that? ZMF 8.3 changed the behaviour of RACF password and password phrase processing for users connecting to a ZMF Server instance from non-mainframe user interfaces (e.g. ZDD, ZMF4ECL, zMobile, the Rest Services API web app, etc.). Specifically, the input password or password phrase is no longer automatically folded to uppercase even if the RACF PASSWORD(NOMIXEDCASE) option is set. Customers should ensure that they test these non-mainframe connections as part of their ZMF 8.3 mainframe software upgrade process to verify that these changes have no adverse impact in their particular environment. 1. We were using the HP-UX !uuidgen command to create guids for an integration to Salesforce.com. We have installed an SDK on Windows server to give us the same capability, but we don't know how to execute Windows commands from Unidata (Unibasic). Here is the command we are trying to execute: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Windows Kits\\10\\bin\\10.0.22621.0\\x86>uuidgen.exeThe command will generate a guid: 7c6c5a30-7d67-47d1-aa17-72f7b2652db3 2. On HP-UX, we had many processes scheduled to run in a crontab. Hi ! I have installed a docker image for uniface on a ec2 linux machine. I have also installed tomcat to serve the web content. There is a simple static page developed in uniface IDE which I am trying to invoke through tomcat. The tomcat is connected to the docker image through web.xml. When I try to access the page from browser, after some time it fails with message err=-25: getsrv: handle_wait wait failed . So my guess is tomcat is forwarding the request but the urouter is showing this error. Can somebody help me in right direction ? Hi, As per the help : [RESOURCES] , the search folders are from top to bottom. I gave a path for the patches first and then mentioned the actual application resources second. So that I expect the changes in patches would be picked up and reflect in application.  I'm using Uniface 10.4.01 and I don't see the changes in the application. If I copy the compiled components from patches and overwrite the files in sources directory, I see the changes in application. So the files are correct but its not referred by the application as per the [resources]. Can anyone please let me know why the file is not reflecting in application ? Hello, As I understand, there are 3 ways of dealing with XML (please correct me if I'm wrong): XML PARSE - a set of statements that are coming from IBM Enterprise Cobol. This syntax is allowed for compatibility reasons XML Extensions -> XML IMPORT/EXPORT syntax that is pure MF XML Extensions -> ORGANIZARION IT XML syntax that is also pure MF and more Cobol-like syntax. With the first one everything is clear. My question is concerning the difference between the points Nº2 et Nº3. Which one is advised to use? Any limitations? How to make the choice? Hi there, I have some questions about Visual COBOL for Eclipse Personal Edition. As I know, the PE license was for 1 year, renewable. I've installed it less than a year ago, then opening it now it's saying "Unable to find a license on this machine"... Once checked in https://my.microfocus.com/myproducts I see the license was like for 3 months... Before it was automatically renewable directly from Eclipse. Now it's not the case. Our application uses Microfocus Visual cobol 7.0 version and frontend application is in JBOSS. We are connecting the frontend (UI screen) and backend (COBOL) through activeMQ version 5.16.1. In the current logic, the activeMQ address with port number of 61616 and user_id and password are hard-coded in cobol module to send/receive the value from frontend to cobol module and vice versa. I am trying now to enable failover transport logic of activemq to acquire high availability. Logic can be included in the JBOSS configuration for failover as  "<config-property name="ServerUrl">failover:(tcp://broker1_url:61616,tcp://broker2_url:61616)</config-property>". We need the failover logic in cobol code to test the HA. Attached the code snippet of current logic for connecting activemq in cobol module. We are upgrading from NetExpress to Visual Studio/COBOL 8.0 We have a program that runs fine under NetExpress but with Visual COBOL it error with SQLCODE = 000019514-  (Cursor is not prepared) The program is doing the first fetch fine but gets the error on the second fetch, we are doing an update on another table between the fetches but the DB connection is not being disconnected (like in other 19514 issue I have seen). We are using transaction level commit, so a commit is done between the fetches. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

After entering an ip address for a router that I am trying to log into I am prompted with a text box to enter my password (my username is part of my settings file, so I don't have to enter it.).  My password consists of two parts. When prompted with the text box to enter my password I have to type a long (13 digit) password and then I need to enter an 8 digit number from my RSA token (the 8 digit number changes about every 30 seconds, but my long password is static). I tried to use the "mouse mapper" function to save my password so I could just press one keyboard key and click my mouse one time to get my password to paste into the password text box, but, this function does not work with the password text box. After I do log into a router, If I use my key + mouse click combination, my password will paste into my Cisco command line interface, but prior to logging into router, it appears that "mouse mapper" will not work. Is there any other way that Reflection can save my long passwo

I have a number of named and unnamed common variables used throughout my programs. I'm getting a common miss-match error on a program with no commons at all. How can I tell what common variables are causing the problem. Is there a way to display named and unnamed common variables active at a given time? I'm sure the code is running a subroutine that may be conflicting with another common, just no way of seeing it from the viewpoint of the program without commons. I am trying to manage a pipe and for some reasion the compiler refuses to recognise the type i use; invoke pipeSec::AddAccessRule(new System.IO.Pipes.PipeAccessRule("Users", type System.IO.Pipes.PipeAccessRights.ReadWrite, type SysSec.AccessControl.AccessControlType.Allow)) it takes exception to "type System.IO.Pipes.PipeAccessRights.ReadWrite" even though it's ok with "System.IO.Pipes.PipeAccessRule"  and "SysSec.AccessControl.AccessControlType.Allow" where SysSec is mapped to SystemSecurity in the repository.
