Hi everyone,How can I use d3py in my Python applications outside of my "d3 box"?I mean, I have created a Python application in my d3 server, and it runs fine using the import d3py, but I want to use it in my Web Server to create my Web App or API endpoint, I have errors to importing d3py outside from my d3server, it says not found the module d3py.How can I implement a Python application with d3py outside of my (D3/Win) Pick server box? It doesn't work moving manually the files or making a map drive.Thank you,

We are in testing a new server where we've installed jBASE 5.8.  We migrated everything from the old server running jBASE 5.7 and are concerned about indexes. Although we rebuilt all the indexes the LIST-INDEX command does not display the indexes on jBASE 5.8 Using the INVOICE file as an example, on jBASE 5.7, "LIST-INDEX INVOICE" displays the following: INDEX definitions for file INVOICE at 11:22:28  06 JUL 2023          PAGE    1 INDEX NAME LOCALE NAME SORT KEYS. Another frustrating problem I need some help with.  Added a new laser printer, wired ethernet connection. jBase 5.8.5 on Windows 10 Multi-page program output now prints 60 lines on page 1 , 4 lines on page 2, 60 lines on page 3 and so on.  There is no way to set a default line/page on the printer.  I've tried using TERM to change the printer length to 56  and tried creating a formtype with the shortened length but neither worked.  How do I "override" or work around the misplaced formfeed?? Intermittently, we are getting the following error message when updating large files.  The files check out OK in jBase and using chkdsk.    Running 5.8.5 on Windows.  Application programs have not been changed in years. Dynamic files READ error number 2007 at position xx:xxxx, File '\\xxx', item id 'xxx' Error 2007 during READ_ERROR to file xxx Enter I to Ignore.... When this happens, I do a 'select' of only the records that reference that particular item.id and re-run the program.  The item will then update properly!  Short term, is there a way to capture the error messages and bypass the prompt so as not to have to interrupt the operation and allow the program to run to completion?  Any diagnostic help would be appreciated. Is there an environment variable or some config setting in jBASE that will prevent a programmer from attempting to write a record with a null record key?  I would prefer this work globally and not based on a particular file.  This system has a lot of very old code that has probably gone through several conversion prior to jBASE.   I am aware I could put a trigger on the file, but I'm finding this issue across multiple files and would like to resolve it quickly.   We're currently running jBASE 5.7 but will soon be upgrading to 5.8.  Thanks. ------------------------------J EdwardsIT ManagerPlimpton & Hills------------------------------

Hi Guys Stupid question here but .... I have a "simple" piece of code to test the commit statement which has left me somewhat surprised by its functionality.I'm probably asking too much if at line 6 when the pgm (stops) I delete the file TEMP from another terminal and then allow the code to continue.I then get (unexpectantly)  I would have expected the commit line to execute and report the error???Am I asking too much? Hi,I need to increase space on a customer's D3 Linux 10.2.0. Just wondering if anyone is using the WOBJ programs to work with JSON objects?   What has been your experience?   Have you found any help documents or tutorials on using WOBJ? It seems that we need a easy way to take multivalue object that we all love and send to a program to create JSON from file and then take the JSON and save to a file.  Have created a dictionary driven tool that works with the older nwbuildjson subroutine but it has limitations when trying to add arrays of objects into the json. HELP! Running jBase 5.8.5 on Windows.  No recent changes to operating system or hardware. Making minor code changes in an order entry program that we've run for years. Modified code, re-compiled and re-cataloged six times this morning.  After last re-compile the program no longer processes any of the file READs in the program!!!   Put an "on error" capture on the READ commands and get error message "file not found".  Files are there and will LIST correctly.  Other programs can access and read the files. jDiag attached. New to Jbase with a background in ADP's Reality. The problem I am having is that items within a COMMON area are not transferring to subroutine. The original system was as follows:program A - $include commons os.inv ( this program sets many variables set within the include )--calls program B - carries the same include of os.inv, it does reference a common variable, but otherwise does not set any----calls program C - carries the include, references a common variableI have basically created the following:program A--program B----program D  - new program, has the same include, but the common variables are not assigned??------program Cno idea why program D, despite being a subroutine and having the same include, has unassigned common variablesAlso, was curious if there was a way to view a program which included the code from the includes. I'm seeing something strange and I'm not sure what to check next. We have 2 subroutines that work fine (both are called hundreds of times a day), but then on a certain date, both start throwing this message. Trying to create a generic write/delete trigger subroutine and would like to be able to determine the File name. Is there a way to get back to it from within a Trigger? I'm trying to write to a specific history file, based on the file name. I know I have a File Variable, but I'm not familiar how to parse that or cast it to a normal variable that I could parse. I've looked through the SYSTEM() values at the time and don't see anything obvious set there for the file.I'm really trying to avoid a separate subroutine for each file if possible.Jbase Version 5.6.6. We are running jBase 5.2 on linux. Back when we were running 4.2  we used to use sudo to run jBase commands. For example we might have this line in a program: EXECUTE "sudo j4 SP-CLEAR BLUE-FQ"  This would clear out all the print jobs from the BLUE-FQ form queue even if a print job was protected. The j4 file just set up some jBase environment variables so sudo would work. My question is - will this still work? If so, what environment variables are needed in the j4 file and where should the j4 file be placed?
