Hi Guys Stupid question here but .... I have a "simple" piece of code to test the commit statement which has left me somewhat surprised by its functionality.I'm probably asking too much if at line 6 when the pgm (stops) I delete the file TEMP from another terminal and then allow the code to continue.I then get (unexpectantly)  I would have expected the commit line to execute and report the error???Am I asking too much? In AE and AccuTerm, if I use a '!' to start a comment, the editor ignores that line, leaving where I put it as the author but it does align the '*' comments based on the options set. In the MVVS editor, the "indent.commentLine" option seems to be treating both '!' and '*' comments the same. If it's set to 'true' the comment gets indented the same as the previous line. If it's set to 'false', the comment line(s) are returned to the left margin. Is there a way with the current settings available to retain the capability of '! comments remaining in the position determined by the developer? Below are examples: indent.commentLine set to true, before Format with Rocket MV BASIC       EQUATE CUSTOMER.SUFFIX TO 5       * !******** ! I am working on an RPM that will install unidata, so as I start down this journey, are there any gotchas other who have gone down a similar path that anyone would care to share?there will be 2 types of installations .....1. on a system WITHOUT unidata installed2. an upgrade of system with unidataI am going to use the parameter file to automate the installation in both cases and when doing #2 I will stop unidata  before preforming the upgrademy main question is about the license file (while developing I will be usings the PE version of unidata so no license issue) but in both cases how do I handle the license?1. do they have to enter  it manually?2. is there a way to "move" the license from version 8.x.x to 8.2.4?also on #2 is there an easy way to tell if unidata is installed and running, I suppose I could look for the unidata daemon to see if its running, but if the system is stopped since I do not know what version of unidata is installed is there something I can look for to see if un

Greetings all! We are currently running 11.3.4 on AIX 7.2.  In order to mitigate the newly discovered security issue with unirpc, we have the option of upgrading to the appropriate builds of 11.3.5 or 12.2.1.  Since upgrading involves a great deal of application and integration regression testing, we are considering jumping to 12 instead of staying on 11 now, and then having to jump to 12 later.All of the listings for version 12 in the product matrix have alerts associated with them, listing an issue related to using unmasked kills on UV processes.For the user base - is anyone currently running 12.2.1.xxx on AIX?  If so, have you encountered any issues related to this alert?For the Rocketeers - with the new memory buffer design, is this alert a permanent fixture now, or is there anything in the works to remediate the issue in the near future?To everyone - while this alert is the main cause of concern for us at this time, has anyone discovered any other issues in terms of application co

Hi,I'm trying to use U2 Web Designer to create RBO's. The accounts are on an AIX server. I can successfully attach to the host and see the accounts. I can also successfully enable accounts for WebDE. It's when I click on "U2 Web DE Elements" and I'm asked for a password it always comes back with an "Access is denied error" I've tried the rbadmin/redback combination (This works elsewhere as I can log on to the admin server with it) and several OS users but nothing seems to work. I first tried this several months ago and gave up out of sheer frustration but now I really need to have a look at this.Everything else is working well. I also found that I had to modify permissions on the $UVHOME/UV.ACCOUNT file to create a new account through designer. Perhaps I need some correct permissions set somewhere else.Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? I am new to accuterm, about a year now, and am still struggling with trying to understand the pieces I need in place to have a graphical accuterm screen display on the internet. I've been told repeatedly that its possible and functioning with my release of accuterm8. Can anyone share with me even a static screen accuterm display on the web? Hi Guys, I needed to dump the contents of a transaction file for our Auditors today and a simple retrieve report should have been the simple solution, as it only need sorting by date with no calcs, and all the dictionary's already setup, and probably not needed again..... However, because of the 32,767 (ROW) page length limit the .CSV hold file with 680,000 rows of data, had many extra "page breaks" to dispense with. I was reluctant to write a one off program, so sorted it in the VOC paragraph, that produced the report, so the Auditors are happy, but  it took me longer than in really should have because of the 32,767 SETPTR limit. So does anyone know why we have such an arbitrary number as the limit for SETPTR and does anyone know of a simple override aside writing a one off program  to poke it directly into &HOLD& rather than using a retrieve report?? Also another thought, the SETPTR command displays your current output settings so these values must be stored for your current

Hi,I need to increase space on a customer's D3 Linux 10.2.0. I am currently using VSCode using the Remote SSH tools and modifying code on the server. The repository on the Linux server is actually configured as a git instance.It's my understanding, using the MVVS extension, the git repository is on the user's PC or shared drive (OneDrive) but the files on the Linux server are not actually a git repository. The net result of this is that the version of a program on the server is always the latest saved version, regardless of branch.It appears that this SFTP extension works well for keeping items in the local repository uploaded to the server. Any other suggestions?This could actually simplify life to some extent. The cautionary tale is that if someone modifies an item on the server side, it must be manually pulled back to the user's repository. Or, is there an "automagic" means of doing that? Just wondering if anyone is using the WOBJ programs to work with JSON objects?   What has been your experience?   Have you found any help documents or tutorials on using WOBJ? It seems that we need a easy way to take multivalue object that we all love and send to a program to create JSON from file and then take the JSON and save to a file.  Have created a dictionary driven tool that works with the older nwbuildjson subroutine but it has limitations when trying to add arrays of objects into the json. Our program uses a pre-compile routine which modifies the code before running the BASIC command to create the object code. Since Rocket MVVS appears to call the BASIC command when compiling, I'm wondering if there might be a way to call our pre-compile routine instead of BASIC.We're in the process of adopting Git and this would help us take full advantage of Rocket MVVS.Thanks in advance for any ideas.
