Looking to see if anyone has successfully integrated D3 with UPS WorldShip using ODBC -When voiding a shipment/package in WorldShip, I receive a duplicate key error because it appears that it's trying to perform an insert instead of an update statement.On void in WorldShip:Execute 0F99B418( INSERT INTO ups_packages ( ...., voided, id, shipment_id )  VALUES ( ..., 'Y', 'PACKAGE ID', 'UPS SHIPMENT ID' ) )Execute 0F99B418( INSERT INTO ups_shipments ( ...., voided, id )  VALUES ( ..., 'Y', 'UPS SHIPMENT ID' ) )Given that these records already exist, and we're just trying to set the voided flag, it should be an update statement:update ups_packages set voided = 'Y' where shipment_id = 'UPS SHIPMENT ID'update ups_shipments set voided = 'Y' where id = 'UPS SHIPMENT ID'Everything else seems to work.Did I miss mapping something in WorldShip?  Is this a known issue?  Any ideas on how to work around this?Appreciate any help!------------------------------Jeremy LockwoodAwesomeASE Supply IncPortland

The 11.3 user reference keyword section shows LPTR [n]. Most occurrences of appropriate command section instances only show the keyword LPTR. I guess you need to find the keyword section to know there is an optional printer channel number. Recently updated commands like LIST.INDEX, however, show the optional printer number. Does this mean that the documentation is going to evolve for all commands that allow LPTR will also show the optional printer channel?As an experiment, get into UniVerse, and immediately issue the command LIST VOC LPTR 3. It sends the output to the spooler. My recollection is that the command would complain about channel 3 not set up. Of course that recollection goes back over 30 years. Is the behavior to use print channel 0 if the requested one is not set up?Speaking of LIST.INDEX, "-INFORMME"? A curious choice for a command line option beyond -INFORM. I was talking to a would-be large client about MVIS tools but I had no idea if it could scale. They will be doing about 250K to 1000K transactions daily. Hi,Without the ability to open our programs on the remote server it is currently of not much use to use. Any plans to introduce this ability in the near future?

We run Windows D3, and utilise MVS Toolkit extensively. It's a very stable and useful product, but there is always a three-second timespan between the request and response within the server (shown in the log).Does anyone know of a way to reduce this time, as it can make things quite slow when numerous requests are made? I have a couple of programs that select .pdf files based on the key of a record in the bridge file. Most of these keys are numeric with a hyphen, i.e. 123-01. Left of the dash is the road number and to the right a sequential number for the bridge. One of the roads got split by annexation and a left over section of road 84 was made 84A and contained a bridge, 84A-01. PERFORM "SSELECT BRGDOC WITH @ID LIKE ":BRGKEY:"..." has worked great until this bridge. From TCL to get the document list SSELECT BRGDOC WITH @ID LIKE "'BRGKEY'..." is the format that works. To do this from a PERFORM I need 3 sets of quotes and I haven't been able to come up with a working statement. Does anyone have a suggestion?

We are in a process to migrate to new U2.Data.Client, so created a webservice application which should return UniObjects such as new UniDynArray or UniRecord.Is there anyway I can return the UniDynArray or UniRecord objects from the webservice(.asmx) project.I tried it but I am getting issues, UniDynArray has no parameterless constructor. Can anyone tell me if Unidata for windows will run on a chromebook laptop?

I've inherited thousands of programs, most of which are no longer being used. Even worse the programs are all scattered into about 80 different program files. Your basic nightmare.Does anyone know a way, on Universe, to tell when the last time a program was executed is? The cataloging features are not usually employed here, although there are some, so anything that looks for a catalogue date is probably not going to help me much - but if there is a way to see when catalogued programs were last run as well that could help some.If there is nothing available to help me here - any suggestions on how to create a log of what's being used? Obviously I could move all the programs into an archived file and wait for my users to scream but that's not helpful to my company :(Thanks in advance for the info / suggestions. Did a test connection in Tableau it passed but when we click on OK, it gives an error. Just started a position at Houston's Inc which uses D3. Apparently, sometimes they are setting group locks and other times they set item locks. However, no one seems to know why it does one over the other. The D3 handbook is unclear. We are trying to remove the group locks from happening as they really should only be item locks within their applications. The manual states that the typical readu, matreadu, etc create the locks. But there is no info on how a group is created vs the item...or perhaps both are created at the same time, but the group lock is released sooner? Looking for a way to identify when the code is generating a group lock instead of an item lock so that we can switch to item locks only.------------------------------Chris RazzanoSenior PICK programmerRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------
