Hi FreaksFor a long time, the proc editor in UF 9.7.4 works well.But since a few weeks it going slower and slower.First I thought it is the internet, but this happens at every connection to the internetThen I did a look into the INI:  maxtags is 20 and even if I set it to 0 ... It looks like ot depends of the size of the proccodeSmall trigger or at the beginning of a large trigger: The editor responds immediately to input.Large triggers at the end of the code. Hello, what kind of input has to be used for the field "Find what"? Is it a plain text? Is it a regular expression? Is it a Uniface Systax string? When searching for "E00" i get results like : message/error $text(E003) call LP_LIMS("E0020", "MAX", KONZ_ARSEN.CHECK_EN) As i just want results like $text(E00x), i have searched for "(E00". Hi Unifacers, I was asked to develop a Real Time Application using Uniface; this application should be able to manage up to 99 devices, directly connected or indirectly connected through 1-N physical data concentrators, each one managing a blocks of devices. Those data concentrators are really simple ones; they are NOT able to maintain a queue of data for those devices they managed: for each device just last item of data collected and its timestamp. The precision of this system should be at thousand second. There should be a dashboard on a controller station avaliable to send a couple of commands to each single device to manage them, using different protocols when directly connected or when connected through a data concentrator. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a way to validate JSON documents in Uniface against a JSON Schema (to check both syntax and structure).Has anyone here already implemented such a solution or integrated an external library or service for this purpose? In the windows environment, we've had a user ask if there's any control over size/display of a tri-state checkbox.  I can't see anything that would help them here, does anyone know of anything that would make a checkbox (in a grid widget as it happens) bigger. Or possibly make the state easier to read on windows 11. Hi All,   As part of our ongoing upgrade, we are transitioning the Uniface environment from Uniface 7 (on OpenVMS) to Uniface 10 (on Linux).During this migration, we encountered an issue with a 3GL function that was previously working as expected in the OpenVMS environment. The function is invoked using the following Uniface command:   perform "3glfunction"edit/nowander   This 3GL function is implemented in a .c file located in a Linux directory. Its purpose is to pause the Uniface application until a specified time has elapsed. Once the timer completes, the function uses UPUTAMES to send a response back to Uniface.While this setup worked seamlessly on OpenVMS, it does not function correctly on Linux. The Linux version of the 3GL function uses a timer thread, which is detached after the timer ends. Although UPUTAMES works independently and is capable of sending responses back to the application, it fails to trigger the expected behavior in Uniface-specifically, the form does not displa

Tips and Tricks for Uniface Logging  During the development or maintenance of your Uniface application, you may need additional insights into what is happening under the hood. Fortunately, Uniface provides several increasingly detailed logging options to help you optimize your ProcScript or investigate issues such as why a userver won't start.  The following tips apply to ide.asn, urouter.asn, userver.asn, and uniface.asn. The settings are also documented in the Uniface library.    $PUTMESS_LOG_FILE  This is the most commonly used log file setting. It writes the message frame to a file. $PUTMESS_LOG_FILE records what the Uniface process is doing in sequential order, with an emphasis on OS calls. This is very useful for determining what happened during the execution of your Uniface application.  To activate, use the following setting:  [SETTINGS]  $PUTMESS_LOG_FILE=c:unifacelogsmyapp_putmess%p.log  This will create a log file for the process you are running (uniface.e

Hi FreaksAll our components do have a component local variable $INSTANCEPROPERTIES$To check certain things at entity level, our entity operations (on model-level) does have some code which reads/write to $INSTANCEPROPERTIES$Compiled component works without any error.But when compiling the entity operations at there own, I got an error(OP_OCC_INIT) error: 1000 - Component variable '$INSTANCEPROPERTIES$' not found any idea to supress this error? BTW: Even the entity is not valid, says the compiler. Hi UnifAce When compiling components I got many warnings/Infos about missing entities and/or pathes.This is a bit annoying, as we are aware of this and the warnings are not useful in our cases.So could you please extend the #pragma directive by "#pragma warning"Syntax should be"#pragma warning( disable :" + <warning-number-list> + ")"where the list is a list of error-numbers.All numbers listed should not be ouput (  have a look at learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/preprocessor/warning?view=msvc-170 )So too disable the infos/warnings mentions above, the statment look like:#pragma warning( disable : 1074 1076 1103 1105 )Ingo------------------------------Ingo StillerAareon Deutschland GmbH------------------------------

Hi Unifacers, from documentation Uniface 10 has terminated support for:    /exe  Switch that was specific to the Development Environment. No longer supported.without any specific reason.In Uniface9 we had a very useful utility which after a search on components code was opening a separate development session directly on any of the components identified; this utility cannot be ported on Uniface10 without a restructuring. Now my questions:1) Is it possible in Uniface 10 Development having available the primary key of a Uniface component opening it directly in editing mode in a new session or in a separate Tab?2) If answer to #1 is NO, will a /exe or a /edit feature be implemented again in a next future on all Uniface development objects?3) If answer to #1 is YES, same functionality could be applied to any Uniface development object (Global procs, Global Includes, Global Menus, Modeled entities, Modeled fields, Code Snapshots, Field templates, and so on) ?4) If answer to #1 is YES, where

What I am trying to accomplish (unsuccessfully so far) is that if the end-user starts the process to generate a report, and they realize it is going to take a long time, I want to provide them a "kill" button.  The kill button would post a message to the report and tell it to stop. What happens with my test                Form 1 – select a report Activates the window with the "kill" button                         Then Actives a form for the user to filter the report data (Form 2)                 Form 2 – select "print" button, activates report                          Cursor spins until the report finishes                          Report finishes and then I can go back to the "kill" windows, but by now it is too late  Once they select the print button … I want them to be able to go to the "kill" button form BUT this is not possible until the report finishes  I understand the logic behind the way it works.  I'm just looking for a "work around" 😊 My early prototype worked, but that's be

Hi everyone. I'm trying to open/use/finc a way to use developer tool's on an uHTML widget. I've added  HTML=uhtml(EnableDevTools=true) In the widget section of my ini file. I've also add it to properties in the exec operation of my form :     properties = $properties(AFFIC_HTML)    putitem/id properties, "ENABLEDEVTOOLS", "T"    $properties(AFFIC_HTML) = properties So I guess it' enable. Then what ? How to access it ? I of course tried with right buton, but the software I'm working on already have a panel opening a sub menu common to all the forms. Any clue ? One of our customers is attempting to get CE+ security certification, and they are failing because the tomcat released with 10.4 has a vulerability.  They need to be updated to Tomcat 10.1.43.  Anyone able to tell me if they've done this on their Uniface Install?
