Auto-refresh has always kept iCluster Web pages current in the background. With this update, the refresh cadence can now be set by an administrator at the cluster level, from 5 seconds up to 5 minutes.A single control on Administration → System values lets that change be made quickly, with the same setting then applied across the console for that cluster. Why This MattersDifferent situations need different refresh speed. When a replication issue is being actively monitored, a faster interval helps status changes appear sooner. During routine periods, a slower cadence can reduce screen churn and background traffic while still keeping data current.Previously, refresh cadence was fixed. Now it is configurable and persistent.Where It Is ConfiguredOpen Administration → System values. In the page header, beside the reload icon, a settings icon opens the Refresh interval (sec) panel. The panel contains:an interval dropdown an Apply buttonA value is selected, Apply is clicked, and the update is s

Replication groups evolve over time. As more objects are protected, a group that was once balanced can become harder to manage and can affect apply performance and maintenance timing.Splitting is the standard way to address that growth: selected physical files are moved from a larger group into smaller destination groups. This capability has long existed in the iCluster engine. In iCluster Web 9.5.0, it is now available through the Split Group Wizard, a guided browser workflow for planning, reviewing, and executing a split. The Challenge: Group Reorganization Requires PrecisionA group split is a high-impact administrative task. Before running it, administrators typically need clear answers:Which objects should move? Which destination group should each object go to? Should destinations be existing groups or newly created ones? What exactly happened for each object after execution? The wizard is designed to answer those questions in one flow. Bringing the Split Workflow into iCluster WebFr

We are attempting the adoption of UV 14.2.1 after being stable with 11.3.5 for a while. It is not going very well. The change between UV 11 and UV 14 is significant and I am not able to find much supporting material to help guide our adoption. After reviewing the available docs and following the guidance for tuning the `uvconfig` settings we have our target base system configuration established.Connecting a single uvsh to run `UPDATE.ACCOUNT` results in "The GLM lock table is full." messages. The guidance for some of the `uvconfig` settings is to reference the maximum number of locks in a transaction.Seems simple enough, if taking the UV 11.3.5 perspective of a transaction being instigated by BASIC code using the transaction semantics. That is how we approached the setting determination and the results indicate this is not correct. When digging into some of the UV 14 GLM related changes there seems to be another concept for a transaction.Using the uvglm_tool utility it is possible to list

The default uvconfig values for these settings are:N_AFT 5000 N_AFT_SECTION 17 N_AFT_SECTION_BUCKET 23  These result in 294.12 files per SECTION, and 12.79 files per SECTION BUCKET. The N_AFT setting is too small for our needs so we will be increasing it. What I am interested to explore is what are the deciding factors needing consideration when adjusting N_AFT_SECTION and N_AFT_SECTION_BUCKET ? Should the current ratios be maintained as best as possible? For example, if N_AFT is set to 15000 a custom setting of 53 for N_AFT_SECTION would result in 283.02 files per SECTION and 12.31 files per SECTION BUCKET, which are close to the default ratios. Is this the best approach, or should I take a different track?

Hello, With an older release of D3 Windows (32bits), it was possible to connect to my D3 database using D3 Windows Class Library Reference. But, with the last release od D3 (64 bits), it doesn’t work. In D3 Programs, i don’t find this dll: D3clslib.dll Any idea ? ThanksRegards.Christophe.

Hello,is there any known ETA Rocket Open AppDev for Z (free solution) is released with fixes for PHP CVE-2026-109618, CVE-2026-109619. I think latest available is php 8.3.23 while 8.3.36 would be neededThank you

Hi everyone,Our company moved the servers from the on-premise office server closet to a data center, with the two sites now linked over IPsec. After the migration, VNC started showing high bandwidth usage, noticeable latency, and choppy screen updates, so we're evaluating ETX as the remote-control solution. I've gone through the deployment documentation, but I still have a few questions about the GPU side:1. What role does the GPU actually play here? Is it mainly to cut down bandwidth consumption, or to reduce CPU load on the server and/or the client?2. We have around 60 engineers running Cadence Virtuoso across the full custom-IC design flow — schematic entry, layout, simulation, DRC/LVS and physical verification — on 28nm designs. What kind of GPU model would you recommend for this workload?3. Do we need to purchase a commercial vGPU license, or is that not required in our case? Thanks a lot for any advice you can share.

Since recent browser updates, a number of customers have reported that their MX Web Client session disconnects while they are working elsewhere. This post explains why this happens and describes the options available to resolve it, along with the advantages and disadvantages of each. The SymptomUsers see a dialog box in the browser:Title: Connection is lostContents: The page will be reloaded to try to establish a new connectionIn the browser console, it may appear as:Closing WebSocket connection code(1001) reason(The WebSocketsession [14] idle timeout expired) clean(Yes)Connection is lost This typically occurs after the user has been working in another browser tab, in another application, or with the browser minimised, and then returns to the web client tab.Why This HappensModern browsers now enforce background throttling on inactive tabs. When a tab is not in the foreground, the browser suspends or heavily limits JavaScript execution in that tab.The MX Web Client maintains a persistent

I've had a careful look (as opposed to a man look) on the wishes list screen, and I can't see a method of adding a new one any more (ISTR it used to be a 'fly-in' button on the right-hand side). I've gotten through to Jira direct, and there's a Create button, but that only allows for the support desk project, (USL?) not the wishes (UNP). Please let us know when we can add wishes again. Regards, Iain

Hi, I requested Visual COBOL Personal Edition for Eclipse (Windows). The download link points to download-eu.rocketsoftware.com, but it always returns ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT from different networks. Could you provide an alternative download link? Thanks.

We use MS SQL server, with the following params.  [DRIVER_SETTINGS]MSS U5.4USYS$MSS_PARAMS ri: uniface, procs: off, ids:quoted, hold statements:on, locktime:infinite, gran:row, stmtcache:off,iso:ru,os:96, sql92npw=on, mars:onAs I read the documentation here, this should be using SQL mapping 2 (default). In sql mapping 2, packing code E is mapped to datetime2 (unclear as to what precision). When I run the create scripts utility, the data fields mapped as E are being set to datetime. Is this an oversight, or is the utility configured to run to lowest common denominator for SQL versions (all supported versions of SQL server now support datetime2). Is there any setting or otherwise I can use to change the behaviour of the create scripts utility? Our database is full of datetime at the moment, but the 0.003s rounding occasionally trips us up, and I’d like to be able to decide on precision on the datetimes stored. I can obviously hand modify all the scripts created before enacting them. Also,

The Most Valuable Person During a Mainframe Incident Isn't the Monitoring ToolIt's That One Guy Who Knows Where to LookEvery mainframe shop has one.A Sev-1 conference bridge starts. The business demands an update every fifteen minutes, and dozens of people flood onto the call. Then, someone asks the real question:| "Has Dave joined yet?"Everybody knows that once Dave joins, things get resolved faster. It’s not because Dave has access to different tools. It’s not because Dave has special authority.Dave looks at the same TMON screens as everyone else. The difference is simple: Dave knows where to look first. It’s 10:17 AM. The payment application team reports that customer transactions are taking nearly twice as long as normal. This is where Dave steps in. He starts building a mental checklist. His first question is always foundational:| "Are we actually seeing a response time increase, or is this just a perception issue?"TMON confirms it. Average transaction response times jumped from 70ms

Docs on this setting describe it thus:Sets the number of hash buckets in the per-user locking table. Adjust this based on the number of concurrent locks a user may hold.andThe number of hash buckets for the per-process locking table. This parameter is highly application dependent, If the application requires a large number of locks in one transaction (more than 20), you should increase this setting to the closest prime number to the maximum number of locks per transaction.  So if we have identified our maximum locks per transaction is a rather large number, like 5000, then this calculation would derive to 4999. That does not seem to make sense. Is there any real-world feedback on this?

Greetings y’all! We currently have a development environment that I would like to have, on a regular cadence, updated with production data. Are any of y’all doing that know?  I’m being told by our VAR that it is next to impossible to do.

I'm excited to share an open-source project that bridges the gap between modern AI and MultiValue databases. u2-mcp is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI assistants like Claude to directly query and interact with Rocket Universe and UniData databases—while preserving native MultiValue semantics. 🔑 Key Features:• Query files using RetrieVe/UniQuery syntax• Read/write records with full dynamic array support• Access dictionaries and call BASIC subroutines• Built-in safety controls (read-only mode, command blocklist, query limits)• OAuth authentication for secure cloud deployment 💡 Why This Matters:Instead of flattening MultiValue data into relational models, u2-mcp preserves attributes, multivalues, and subvalues natively. Your AI assistant understands your data the way your applications do. Use Cases:• Natural language queries against your ERP/business data• AI-assisted report generation• Database documentation and exploration• Training new developers on legacy syste

Hello friends. I’ve attached a small program designed to read a text file and create an indexed file from it. The problem is that it fails to read the file. I’ve added a `DISPLAY` and an `ACCEPT` statement to track when it reads the file, but it doesn’t seem to happen. I’m quite frustrated because this has worked in the past, but now I can’t figure out what’s going wrong. I’ve included both the file and the program; I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this.Hola amigos. Thanks.Wascar Guerrero.

I am integrating the VS code for COBOL development, We are executing a JCL calling a COBOL module in Enterprise server. We keep the class 2, as the server 2 is tagged with debug enable. In Enterprise Developer, its correctly captured in Debug session pointing server 2 . I want the same to be captured in the VS Code session. How it can be achieved?I followed the instructions in the VSCode Enterprise extension documentation and setup the launch.json file
