I have PROD1.PROCLIB listed in the System Procedure Library in JES configuration.  But unless I include the JCLLIB statement in my JCL it can’t find the procedure.

Is it possible to migrate JAVA code that use JCICS in CICS Liberty server on zOS to run on Rocket Enterprise server on Linux ?  Is there any guide for such migration ?

I'm submitting a job submisison request to JESControl using the REST client to the following url  POST "">ip.address.of.server:10086/.../jescontrol" But my request is getting rate limited and I'm getting the following response: { "ErrorTitle" : "Error 429 - Too Many Requests", "ErrorMessage" : "Session limit has been reached. Please try again later."} How do I handle this response. Is the amount to wait before sending the next request is available in any HTTP header ? Usually when rate-limiting is implemented, the amount of seconds to wait will be available in the 'retry-after' header, however for the above request, I did not see any such header in the response received. So wanted to know if Enterprise Server JESControl is setting this value in any other header or if there is any other way to handle this.  Thanks for your response. All of my requests being sent via RESTful API that previously worked have recently been receiving a 429 HTTP status code indicating too many requests have been sent to the API.I'm getting the following response:{"ErrorTitle" : "Error 429 - Too Many Requests","ErrorMessage" : "Session limit has been reached. Please try again later."}The error is a general HTTP message, not specific to the product.How do I mitigate this obstacle? What is the admin configuration setting in the Enterprise Server to extend the session limit and relax the rate-limiting?The Retry-After header is an HTTP response header that informs the client how long it should wait before making another request is commonly used in scenarios where the server cannot process the request immediately, such as rate-limiting or scheduled downtime. I do not want any of the rate-limiting or scheduled downtime that I’m currently experiencing.

I have a JCL script that executes a COBOL program through a procedure (PROC0001). Specifically, the goal is to pass parameters to the procedure so that any COBOL program can be executed, and this is source code that is running in a production environment. We are attempting to submit a JCL job to our local enterprise solution server via the ESMAC JES control API and are receiving a response with code 400 and message stating “No Origin of Referer header present.” How do we configure the server to allow access control from all origins?

I have a COPY project that is used in other COBOL projects. In this COPY project, there are lines of code that need to be continued because they exceed 80 characters. For example:05 PIC X(70) VALUE "(xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx- "x)".In fact, the Enterprise Developer IDE for Eclipse 11 reports the following errors for this line:- COBCH0026S Literal too long- COBCH1007E VALUE literal size 227 > data item size 70. Literal truncated.And since it's a COPY project, I can't apply compilation directives. In fact, I don't understand why the IDE is trying to compile a COPY. Hello. I have a COBOL application composed of several projects (n COBOL-type Projects, one COPY-type project, and one COPY DCLGEN-type project), and I wonder if it is technically possible to execute any program from any project with a single existing batch region defined in Enterprise Developer 11 for Eclipse running on a Windows 11 PRO operating system. I just installed Rocket Software Enterprise Developer Version 11 and need to obtain the default password for the SYSAD user. Following the suggestion on the ESCWA login screen:"The SYSAD user has been created with a generated password.To determine the password, run:"mfsecretsadmin read microfocus/temp/admin"" I ran the command, but the password it returned is invalid. On a Rocket Enterprise Server 11 installed on a Windows 11 system, I created a test region (using the JCL template) and associated a project with it. We are running Enterprise Developer 10.0 that accesses a SQL server database from CICS via an ODBC XA Resource.  We are experiencing long standing schema modification locks (LCK_M SCH_M) in SQL Server coming from the Rocket server through MSDTC.  Currently the only way we know to resolve is to stop/start MSDTC on the database server.  Is there any documentation on configuration options (either the Rocket or SQL servers) that we can review to help resolve these locks?

Rocket has an Enterprise Analyzer Certified Professional - L4XX training course. The start of the course has a hands-on lab for installing a demo workspace. Task 2 step 5 is to “Add sources manually”; the screenshot in step 7 shows this being done from C:\EA Sources\BankDemo\sources, but as far as I can tell, this is not installed with Enterprise Analyzer. (There are some demo files it puts in every workspace but not the full demo.So where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo files?The training videos several time to go to the “attachment tab”. There is no attachment tab in the training site, as far as I can find. Nor anywhere else with downloads.I happen to have a .zip file with what I think you need, but only due to another case I had with Rocket.My question is: Where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo sources from? Is this something that was lost in the migration from Open Text to Rocket?

I have @1000 VSAM files all of which hold the same data for different product types.  The first part of the name of the file indicates the product type. For example:   Product1 filename is FD0001.PRODUCT.INFO, Product2 filename is FD0002.PRODUCT.INFO.   These files are to be read by a Cobol program that populates the "FDnnnn" part of the filename.  Is there a way to have only one VSAM file definition in the JCL stream and query the JES catalog to get the right file, or some other way to avoid having a DD statement for all 1000 files?------------------------------Bruce CheatwoodBWXTLynchburg VA US------------------------------

Hi,I'm testing the IMS sample application because I need a reference for a client's configuration. I follow the procedure described in the manual, which requires all fields to be ASCII, but when I enter MFDEMO, the fields coming from the program aren't ASCII.
