I have several servers with UV 11.3.1.6022 installed and, on one, I'm getting a very odd behavior on selects. This is only happening on our development server, but it's in multiple accounts and the configuration is the same as other servers.If I create a list with only one item in it and then do a "GET-LIST list_name". The system shows zero records selected and will not list the item. It behaves the same if I'm using &SAVEDLISTS& or another file for storing the lists. >CT MLISTS WNB710_20180101.WBP_TEST       WNB710_20180101.WBP_TEST 0001 TEST.FNCODESGET >GET-LIST MLISTS WNB710_20180101.WBP_TEST Zero records SELECTed.  SELECT list number 0 cleared. Please note, this feature working fine when the cobol source is checked from the 'remote system explorer' perspective. From developer's point of view, it would nice to have this feature in changeman perspective mode, thus it will be easy and quick to scan the program using the predefined software analyzer rules. Hello guys,XMLTRANSFORM, an operation of component USYSXSLT (Uniface component that provides services for transforming XML streams at runtime using XSLT stylesheets) does not return any status after the transformation is done. It returns an empty value/null instead of a negative one or 0 and the transformation is not done. Have you ever faced that issue? We did an upgrade from Windows Server 2012 to 2019(on the Citrix) but we are not sure if this has caused the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.Dominik

Is there docu for how to set/ work with the tabstops? I use Insert spaces and not Keep Tabs. Source format ANSI Format. Tab size is 4 or 8 but makes no difference. Tabs on 7, 8, 12, 22, 32, 45,47,50,54, 73 and 81. I see them in the ruler. In Overwrite mode OVR on an existing cobol line, starting on column 1 the tab goes to 7, 13, 25, 49 and after last character. 13 minus 7 is 6, 25 minus 13 is 12, 49 minus 25 is 24.What is the logic? New line under a existing and starting on column 1, the first tab goes to 7 then to 8 and that is oke, but then to 9, to 13,23,33,46,48,51 and 55. That is just allways 1 position to far. The problems are started a few years back, when a complet new editor was introduced.

@Leon Pearce and @Kathleene HunterJust to clear something up here on the question on the SAVEDLIST length question thread. The SAVEDLISTS error with a '*' will only happen on UniData on Windows, in fact there are several characters that Windows forbids in file names so it's not just a '*'. On UniVerse on Windows the disallowed characters are encoded so the list can be saved, Kathleene if you check in your SAVEDLISTS directory on Windows you will find where you had an '*' in your name it's encoded as %A, so this is why you don't see the error on UniVerse. My colleague reinstalled sudo yesterday from the conda distribution. Today I discovered that only the beginning portion of cat5/sudo.8 is there. We're on the public path, but this really is a problem. Migrating from Server Express 5.1  on RHEL  to Visual Cobol 6.0 on RHEL. While COBOL programs got smoothly imported into Visual COBO need help as to how to handle the SOAP interfaces (CAR files)

Greetings to everyone! I have file which is created as ascii, in that one of the field is comp-3. my requirement is to read the file and insert records to table. Am able to read alphanumeric fields after introducing special name and code-set clause, but am facing issue in processing comp-3 field. example which I incorporated to read ascii file. SPECIAL-NAMES. ALPHABET TEST-COLLATE IS STANDARD-1. FD SRC-FL CODE-SET IS TEST-COLLATE. 01 VM-SRC-FL-REC. 05 VM-DISPLAY-FLDS.    10 VM-VENDOR-CODE PIC X(6).   10 VM-VENDOR-NAME PIC X(25).   05 VM-COMP-FLDS.    10 VM-TXN-LMT PIC S9(09) COMP.    10 VM-TXN-AMT-LMT PIC S9(16)V9(02) COMP-3. <--facing issue in this field If I do comment out comp-3 field population logic its working fine, Hence I need suggestion to process comp-3 fields too. I have occasionally wondered what the SCRMIN, SCRMAX and SCRSIZE settings in the uvconfig file actually influence.I know I have never adjusted these values since we started with UV 9 (currently working on our UV 11.3.3 in-place upgrades) so I was wondering if anyone has changed these settings, and if so then to what, and why?From the uvconfig file:# SCRMIN - specifies the minimum size of# UniVerse scratch buffer pool. Hi, I am working for Net Express to Visual Cobol migration and I am getting this '174     Imported file not found: (CobWifeDll.dll)' error for one of the component . Earlier I was getting load error '173 Called program file not found in drive/directory' for 'CobWifeDll' while calling this dll So I have declared a procedure-pointer and set up the entry point to this dll, Now I am getting this '174     Imported file not found: (CobWifeDll.dll)' error. link to this dll is present in the path variable. Run time Model is shared in Cobol link tab. This particular dll contains the functionalities for the communication between application program and and the screens. Can you please help me to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

I am looking to find the equivalent of 'detach from template' in UV10. I can't seem to remove the inherited from component, or change the inherited status. I suspect that if I could, I'd have to copy/change all the code from the template as well. Is there an option somewhere which duplicates the old function? Sometimes I want to use the template as a starting block but then change out some stuff. (Like removing panels and menus, rather than replacing them). 

I am in the process of debugging several hundred calls from UniObjects to host routines. I wrote a debug program that gives me SYSTEM(11), the call stack and other items that are written to a file. The problem is that when I sort the file by the CPU time (SYSTEM(11)) there are several (5) calls all at the same time. Is there a way to get a time that has a higher resolution than just  milliseconds?TIA,Steve------------------------------Steve MayoSoftware Engineerbasys------------------------------

I'm Trying install Relativity 12.07 64 Client, when i select the server name I receive this error. Is anything I missing?. Is there any troubleshooting manual to fix the error. First scenario,  install Data Server and Data Client in the same Windows 10 machine. Second scenario Data Server windows server 2016 and Data Client Windows 10. We have imported forms into Uniface 10.3 from Uniface 9.7 and they are not listed under a project. When we create new forms or modify existing forms (or other objects) do they have to be under a project? How does having forms under a project influence how they are compiled, deployed and run?

I compared my environment before activating sudo and after and found that the activate defines /conda/envs/sudo/lib in the LIBPATH but there is no /lib under /sudo ...?Is this a known 'bug' in the conda setup for sudo?

Uniface 10 gives different result by putting date in string field$string$ = "%%$string$%%%3;"    $string$ = "%%$string$%%RCO_DT_BOEKING.REKCOUR%%%;"In uniface 9.7  on Windows server 2012 this results that $string$ is filled with  "3;15-03-2021;"In uniface  10.3 on Windows server 2016 this results that $string$ is filled with  "3;15-mar-2021;"The date format now gives an issue in the following process since the string has an fixed length.The windows lanquage and date/time setting are checked on both servers and set the same. the field RCO_DT_BOEKING.REKCOUR has as display format DIS(dd-mm-jjjj)

Hi there Usually I build my Project using "Project -> Build Project" in VC Eclipse IDE. I do have different SQL Pre-processor settings which are at file and folder level. Recently I wanted to try the ant build and when I checked the .cobolBuild file it doesn't seem to match my Project build settings. Particularly, the sql pre-processor settings are not updated in .cobolbuild file.  Is this a manual activity? It is very difficult to update the .cobolbuild file with more than 3000+ source files. #VisualCOBOLEclipse#VisualCOBOL#CobolEclipse#cobolbuild

Hi there I have Visual Cobol for Eclipse 6.0 installed in my PC. I wanted to build my project from command line instead of using Eclipse IDE. I am trying to write a script which can automate the build in my local PC.  I have the mfant.jar in the following location "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\Visual COBOL\\bin" and I do have bin64 folder "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Micro Focus\\Visual COBOL\\bin64" in which i don't have the jar file. So i marked the bin folder in Classpath and tried executing the below command C:\\project1\\> ant mfant.jar -f .cobolBuild -DforceCompile=falseFocus\\Visual was unexpected at this time.
