In BDT you can click on the Windows toolbar option and the Editor option allows you to split the window into two panes either vertical or horizontal. It will work with a single file, but how can I open two different programs in either of the panes?

Hello, With UNIFACE 10.3..02.54 on Windows , I try to list all files/folder containt in a folder in a zip file with $ldirlist, But if the folder name containt a dot, $ldirlist return always empty. [ex:  $ldirlist("D:\\TEMP\\GHO.zip:test.js","DIR") ] . The foder have the "D" attributes and it's recognize like a folder by Windows and 7zip. Someone have the same problem with a more recent version of UNIFACE ? Thanks. I appreciate that with DSPs the answer is just to paint the image widget, however, this is for integration with a java(script) based graphics/graphing utility via JSON data output by a USP, so I can't do that.  I have bitmap data loaded into the database using lfileload/raw, I am trying to convert this to a tag to display an image in HTML <img src='data:image/bmp;base64, DATAGOESHERE'> I have tried variables raw v_raw string v_string endvariables v_raw=$encode("URAW", fieldname) v_raw=$encode("BASE64", v_raw) v_string = $encode("USTRING", v_raw) and then replacing DATAGOESHERE with v_string, this doesn't work (I've also tried it outputting a basic HTML file, so I know it's not anything further up the line which is at fault).  I originally tried without the URAW encode, doesn't appear to make any difference. 

We have a new installation of EDA and when we try to map a file they all come up as a "B" on the filename, which designates it as a non UniData or directory type file. We have an open case and also a paid contract to Rocket to get it working, but no luck as of now. Throwing this out there to see if anyone else had this issue and resolved it. We have this working on our development server just fine and all code levels and settings are the same. Hi guys - I know I can wrap a grid column header by typing a shift-enter where I want the header to wrap. Similar to making old pick headers wrap by using a multivalue mark. But I want the DATA within the grid to wrap or be 'stacked'. Like an address with name on the first line, street on the second, and city,st,zip on the third line - all within one grid row and column cell. I don't want to have to mess with blocking the characters to force a wrap.  Anyone know how to do this? I have several instance executing on same LPAR. According to the resolution section, each instance of the started task requires its own ACTLOG dataset. On the one hand, if I decide to share a single dataset between multiple started tasks, this will produce unpredictable results. For those who remember, the Uniface 9 development tool had a feature known as ‘Load Fields’ where you could Load Fields into an empty Entity; with version 10, you can add Fields to an Entity with items already painted (other Fields or child Entities). If there is not enough room for the Fields you are trying to Insert, the Uniface 10 IDE will not change your existing layout and cancels the action, so you need to make sure there is enough free space available for your Insert. Following a move to version 7 of Visual COBOL,  an Ant-based build has been failing as shown below.  A compile failure is not obvious, but in reviewing a "-debug" log produced by Ant, noticed was the following exit code.This exit code presents randomly in programs undergoing a Db2 pre-compile. Hi! Every once in a while we would be getting a Segmentation fault when running a runcobol command. Originally, our team would just reboot the system and the problem would be fixed. We did find a command that fixes the problem by clearing out the shared memory: ipcrm `ipcs -m | grep '524d' | grep -v grep | awk '{print "-m", $2}'` ipcrm `ipcs -s | grep '524d' | grep -v grep | awk '{print "-s", $2}'`  (via  How do I address an "unauthorized use of runtime/compiler (Loc 810)" error message?) Now I do understand that we should try not to shut down a COBOL process or terminal poorly, but I'm not sure any of our developers have been closing out COBOL programs ungracefully.

I haven't used UV in a while. When I had to convert a D3 account to Universe, there were specific tools to do it.  I can't find them now under Windows and UV 12.2.  The documentation mentions tapein routines or using the import command under Xadmin. Everything is incomplete. Under D3 windows I created a tape pseudo device, set the block size to 512 and used the 'SAVE (TIC" command to create an individual account save that is backwardly compatible. UV documentation has no mention on how to create an entry in the &DEVICE& file to access a windows disk file. Sorting through the VOC verbs I found a command D3RESTORE which looked promising but is not in help system or other documentation.
