Rocket DevOps, MX, API, iCluster® – Solutions for IBM i™

We're experimenting with JavaScript in MX Web 10.6.1 to see if we can eventually replace some of our Rocket script. A simple test case right now is prompting a field on a screen, collecting the code/description records from the subfile on the popup window that the prompt triggers, and using that data to populate a dropdown widget. That's really easy to do with Rocket script, and I use "PanelUpdateEnable(0)" to suppress panel updates so the whole process happens transparently to users. The mechanics of this are easy enough with the client-side JavaScript library, but I can't find a way to use JavaScript to suppress display of the popup window while this is running. Is there a way to do this? Rocket script and JavaScript don't seem to interact smoothly, so I'd rather not jump back and forth between them within a single process. I opened a support ticket for this question as well but am posting here in case anyone else has encountered this situation or has any tips or tricks to share.

One user has a PC with larger monitors that run at high resolution and when they run a Jwalk client in Full Screen mode it is not proportionally scale. Instead you end up with a relatively small area for the IBM i interface (approx 30%) and a vary large boarder (the remaining 70%)Is there a setting I can adjust to change this to improved the way the Jwalk client scales?We are using Jwalk v42c9 as a locally installed client, with a copy of all the panels stored with it on a Windows 11 PC.  Any advice would be much appreciated.Steve BThe Friendly Techie

In RDi, I have LM(i) filters by user, object, and task#.  In VS Code, all I've managed to find is a list of every task# since the beginning of time.  How do I set up LM(i) filters in VS Code like I have in RDi? Thanks

Folks: I'm a newbie to vscode (and Aldon for that matter). I've got vs code 1.103.0 installed with the rocket devops extension version 10.5.0. If I insert a deliberate error in my code, and use the 'create' option on the member in my subset, no errors are shown. The output log shows this ... What happens when doing a rollback of a dist. set from production if the set was never deployed?

Hi, When I reach a field at the end of a container list, after hitting the tab from there, it should go to the first field in the group box. In order to accomplish that, I created a hidden field outside and called a client-side javascript to focus on that field, but it didn't work. I have this error trying to install LMe 6.7 I have the recommended space on all partitions, but the FS of /tmp tells me that it is too small. This is how the disk is partitioned, it should be noted that when creating partitions as LVM the same error happens.

Hello, forum, I have a system that has been out of sync for 15 days. It was working with MIMIX and its journals are still active we want to use them for ICluster. How can I use those journals to continue the synchronization? Or is there any audit that can validate and synchronize the unsynchronized objects and files?

Hi,I have linked an engine-side JavaScript file to a page onLoad and deployed it to the QA server, but I cannot view the console in my browser console. Is there any way I can view the console to confirm that the script is called correctly after the server is deployed? Hi,I have a scenario, where I have config.json file in my resource folder and on load of the project , it must read the file and check the flag inside that. If the flag is true then the project should access only the JavaScript function on all the pages and if it is false then it must call only the VB Script function on all the pages. Hi, I've configure the API url and headers in deployment.properties file in my workbench and try to read the values from deployment.properties file using engine side javascript  in Rocket MX 10.4.3. I couldn't get those values. I have a predefined function GetDeploymentProp method in VB script ,but I couldn't access it from engine side javascript. Can anyone give a solution for this? I created a support ticket for this as well and have read knowledge base article 00001990, but I'm casting a wide net in hopes that someone can help. We're migrating from LegaSuite GUI  8.5.4 to MX Web 10.4.3  and are struggling with the "hit" to our development time that's being caused by the performance of Live Tests for MX Web from the Workbench. Launching a live test takes 2 - 3 minutes on our local machines.  Our Live Tests refresh automatically for page changes, which is great. However, screen and script changes don't take effect until the session is restarted. Working in a large complex application, especially during a migration, requires a lot of back-and-forth when working with scripts. At 2 - 3 minutes per launch, the performance penalty adds up very quickly. Do you have any tips for optimizing the performance of Live Test launches? I'll attach a screenshot showing hardware/software summary info for my system.
