Rocket® Enterprise Suite

I have a COPY project that is used in other COBOL projects. In this COPY project, there are lines of code that need to be continued because they exceed 80 characters. For example:05 PIC X(70) VALUE "(xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx- "x)".In fact, the Enterprise Developer IDE for Eclipse 11 reports the following errors for this line:- COBCH0026S Literal too long- COBCH1007E VALUE literal size 227 > data item size 70. Literal truncated. And since it's a COPY project, I can't apply compilation directives. In fact, I don't understand why the IDE is trying to compile a COPY. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?Thank you very much.

I am launching a job from Enterprise Developer for Eclipse 11 and the only thing I can see in the spool is the following message:JES000050E JCL parsing error: Job: 0001003 RC = 8Can anyone tell me what else I could check to try to determine what might be happening?

Hello. I have a COBOL application composed of several projects (n COBOL-type Projects, one COPY-type project, and one COPY DCLGEN-type project), and I wonder if it is technically possible to execute any program from any project with a single existing batch region defined in Enterprise Developer 11 for Eclipse running on a Windows 11 PRO operating system. In fact, I have created a batch region in the aforementioned environment and it starts correctly when associating a single project (I performed the association using Enterprise Developer for Eclipse 11 on my PC with Windows 11 PRO operating system), but the moment I associate a second project to the region, the following message appears during startup:JES000057E JES validation - MFJCLCFG failed for spool file SPLJOB.dat - RC = +000000007 CASSI9012E JCL support failed to start. Error returned from casspool, RC=0020 In fact, I have observed that the ESCWA environment variable in the aforementioned Enterprise Developer 11 effectively conc

I just installed Rocket Software Enterprise Developer Version 11 and need to obtain the default password for the SYSAD user. Following the suggestion on the ESCWA login screen:"The SYSAD user has been created with a generated password. To determine the password, run:"mfsecretsadmin read microfocus/temp/admin"" I ran the command, but the password it returned is invalid. Does anyone know what I can do?

On a Rocket Enterprise Server 11 installed on a Windows 11 system, I created a test region (using the JCL template) and associated a project with it. I started the region and received the following error:JES000011E Batch Spool File Error; SPLJOB Status Open I/OCASSI9012E JCL support failed to start. Error returned from casspool, RC=0012Does anyone know where I should define the spool file path?

I'm trying to download the PDF documentation for "Enterprise Developer 11.0 for Eclipse (Windows)"https://docs.rocketsoftware.com/es-ES/bundle/enterprisedevelopereclwin_ug_110/page/yos1742952172927.htmlHowever, I get the following message: "Your PDF is being generated. Please leave this browser open until your PDF has downloaded."But the download doesn't start.Does anyone have an alternative link where I can download the documentation in PDF format? Thanks.

We are running Enterprise Developer 10.0 that accesses a SQL server database from CICS via an ODBC XA Resource.  We are experiencing long standing schema modification locks (LCK_M SCH_M) in SQL Server coming from the Rocket server through MSDTC.  Currently the only way we know to resolve is to stop/start MSDTC on the database server.  Is there any documentation on configuration options (either the Rocket or SQL servers) that we can review to help resolve these locks?

Where and how do I specify the startup transaction for a CICS region when coming in through a TN3270 terminal emulator?

Does anyone have document on  Best Practices and guidelines for Upgrading Enterprise developer and Enterprise server from one version to a newer version??

Rocket has an Enterprise Analyzer Certified Professional - L4XX training course. The start of the course has a hands-on lab for installing a demo workspace. Task 2 step 5 is to “Add sources manually”; the screenshot in step 7 shows this being done from C:\EA Sources\BankDemo\sources, but as far as I can tell, this is not installed with Enterprise Analyzer. (There are some demo files it puts in every workspace but not the full demo.So where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo files? The training videos several time to go to the “attachment tab”. There is no attachment tab in the training site, as far as I can find. Nor anywhere else with downloads.I happen to have a .zip file with what I think you need, but only due to another case I had with Rocket. My question is: Where is someone taking the class supposed to get the demo sources from? Is this something that was lost in the migration from Open Text to Rocket?

E. Miroglio, a global leader in textiles with operations across Europe and Asia, faced major challenges with an aging, costly, and inflexible application environment. Their IT team struggled with:5,000 daily batch jobs requiring manual intervention Limited flexibility for innovation High infrastructure costsTo overcome these hurdles, E. Miroglio partnered with Rocket Software to modernize their platform using Rocket® Enterprise Server. The transformation included:Migrating to a flexible x86-based Linux platform with zero downtime Reusing over 12,000 COBOL programs Converting UNIX shell scripts back to JCL for easier managementResults:90% performance improvement in some departments 50% faster batch processing 50% infrastructure cost savingsThis case study is a great example of modernization without disruption, proving that legacy systems can evolve to meet today’s business demands.Read the full case study here

Hi,I'm testing the IMS sample application because I need a reference for a client's configuration. I follow the procedure described in the manual, which requires all fields to be ASCII, but when I enter MFDEMO, the fields coming from the program aren't ASCII. I debugged the program, and they are ASCII. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see. Can you help me? What am I doing wrong?Thank you very much.

Where can I find documentation on how to configure where EXEC CICS WRITEQ data is stored?

visual cobol program - calling a PCO program - animation shows it calls the PCO, and then continues on - but the PCO seems to be doing NOTHING, even tho we put a display as the first line to execute in the the pro cobol pgm ....  where to start looking at what is wrong
