I am receiving JSON from a third party and it contains a null value like below.  I call UDOGETPROPERTY for line_item_id and when I try to reference the return value I get Improper data type and my process terminates. How do I detect for the null value in the return value?

Is there a limit to the value length in a select statement?When I run:   SELECT OP.MANIFESTED.HIST WITH TRACK.NBR = "420015859261290986498138210077"I get multiple rows back with TRACK.NBR different from above. For example:420015859261290986498136795170420015859261290986498151260165420015859261290986498151221500Is there a limit to how many characters it’s comparing in the select value?Other explanations?I removed the indexes off a copy of the file and I still get the same result, so it’s not a bad index issue.

 Accuterm seems to allow greater that 31 days in a month for date fields !! Traits for a form - if we select return will wok in a multi line text box - we seem to just complete the form - not stay in the multi line box anybody seen these problems and are there answers ?

I have two bp file that both exist in Github: IO.BP and WEBAPPS.BP.  I have a subroutine in WEBAPPS.BP that I am updating in vscode.  It has this include statement “$INCLUDE IO.BP IO.INS”  vscode still shows all the variables using that file as undefined variables.  I have tried adding them to the includeMapping, but it still doesn’t fix it.  Both folders exist in c:\git-workspace\IO.BP and c:\git-workspace\WEBAPPS.BP.  This is for Universe. I also tried adding the folder to the workspace. How can I fix this in vscode?

Using AccuTerm 8.1.1.1136 we are connecting to a windows 2022 server running OpenSSH server.  Connection works and we can log in but the AccuTerm escape sequences are hit and miss.For example we can issue the escape sequence to run on the caps lock without issue, but when running the escape sequence to turn off the caps lock nothing happens.  The sequences are “ESC:STX:L” for caps lock on and “ESC:STX:M” for caps lock off.I turned on data capture and can see the correct data getting sent for the caps lock on, but either nothing is sent or the wrong sequence is sent for the caps lock off.We can run “ESC:STX:?”, “ESC:STX:I” and get the correct responses.Trying to change the terminal size to 132 or 80 characters, “ESC:STX:E” and “ESC:STX:N” nothing will happen.We have tried running Bitvise instead of the Windows OpenSSH server and had similar results.Changes to terminal type, character set/code, SSH configurations and more have had no changes.While we are connecting to an OAS instance, I

Hi All, Hopefully this is a quick one, that I did not want to trouble Rocket support with. I know that UV11.3.5 is certified for Windows Server 2019, we aim to get as many of our customers on Windows onto Server 2022. However, we may have some who want to stay on 2019. To your collective knowledge are there any issues in sticking with 2019 for UV11.3.5? Many thanks.

Hi Running uv 14.1.1 on Windows, we are waiting to receive the patch 1002 Hotfix. Meanwhile, how can we restart uvcleanupd.exe without restarting uv himself !  If I start it from a console, it works but not as a background process. Thanks for any sugg.  Manu

Greetings All,  I am running into an issue when using Accuterm. I just switched my internet provider to Startlink.  Startlink for home use does not have a dedicated IP address so I am using a GL.Inet GL-SFT1200 router that I have a  wireguard tunnel running on the router. I also I can log in direct from my PC using Surfshark with a -dedicated IP with no issues when connecting. When using wireguard I am able to connect but get an error message - "WED requires AccuTerm 2000 or later to run!  "  I am also trying to print to port 9100 to the wireguard but have not gotten far on this.  Am I missing something in the set up?  Thank you in advance. 

Do we have a version of U2 Toolkit for .NET Developer with U2.Data.Client that supports any .NET 6 or preferably .NET 8 applications? I'm struggling to find information on it.

I understand that UV14.1 has a compatibility setting in uvconfig which allows it to support versions of SB+ before SB+6.5.0. Has anyone used this functionality and more specifically with SB+5.5/SB+5.4? If so, are there any things to be aware of? Thanks in advance

This is for a UNIVERSE environment. I've tried setting the account to use in servers.mvbasic.json, as it is using XDEMO by default at the moment which causes the authentication process to fail. I need to manually specify which account is used. Looking at the logs, it appears this is passed in during the "connect U2 start" stage as accountName, but both this and account seem to have no impact. Is this controllable? 

We have an app that is using the U2.Data.Client (version 2.2.2) to call a subroutine and the app is using transactions for an orchestrated business flow. Part of this orchestration is calling a subroutine and I need to know if that subroutine is, or has a way to, operate within the transaction of the U2.Data.Client. If so, how would I get that to work?

I have been struggling this for a few days now. This works of course in Terminal. When you right-clock on a program in VSCode, the bottom  two menu items are Catalog and Compile. I have researched this and it would seem several configurations need to be in place.  I do have the ssh configs set up, the BP file in the workspace, but it never finds the file or the program. I'm fairly new to the UV world, and a coworker installed a trial version of UV and then had to have emergency surgery so the project was placed with me. I'm trying to sset up a uv database, but i can't seem to find or create a proper bp directory file for basic source code, and I can't type in lowercase at all, all myh input gets converted to uppercase. I've tried turning CASE off but it still converts. Can we default to a lowercase easily?

Hi, I need some assistance with my u2 installation of python. UV14.1.1/Windows - python 3.11.1 is installed under c:u2uvpython. I want to install and use a third party python module(s). However, using:  >python -m pip install wonderwords gives me an error ERROR: Exception: ... ImportError: cannot import name 'RequirementInformation' from 'pip._vendor.resolvelib.structs' (c:u2uvpythonLibsite-packagespip_vendor esolvelibstructs.py) How should I resolve that? Should I reinstall something? Also, is it possible to use virtual python environments with the u2 python configuration? It seems I can create them but I'm not sure how to activate it from within UV.  Thanks Stuart

Hi, Is it possible to connect to MQ using LDAP in Unidata 8.2.4. if not, is there any work around to connect and post messages? We are upgrading our IBM MQ version to 9.3 so we are changing the authentication to LDAP CSP and send username and password for authentication. Is there a way for Unidata to accommodate these changes? Any reference to documentation or any inputs will be greatly appreciated. More simple question should be can we use MQCONNX to connect to MQ in Unidata? Regards, Unidata Enthusiast

I have a subroutine that is compiled and cataloged. It gets call by some phantom processes. Periodically a phantom process dies because it cannot load the subroutine. What else can prevent universe from loading the subroutine besides not being compiled and cataloged? Update to the original post:  I have found the error for a common size mismatch but I am not sure why because it will run for hours processing many records without an issue.

MTS returns 13:37:42, but with sending data to SQL, multiple timestamps have the same value. Is there a way to get miliseconds?  We are transmitting multiple records and many would have the same "42" second value. Our best solution is to get the MTS value and add the decimal portion of U2 internal time to it.   For example, if raw time is 49062.2004, MTS retruns 13:37:42. before sending to SQL, we would change it to 13:37:42.2004 SQL date field would get "2025-07-25 13:37:42.2004" which it may not like. Any suggestions?

Hi,  I'm looking to find out if it's possible to install a python module in UV. We are currently running UV 11.3.4 with Python 3.9 embedded. We've had a request from our development if pytest can be added to what we currently have installed? Has anyone had any experience installing this module, and were there any adverse consequences that effected Python as a whole? Thanks, John Koonce

I have a python script that uses the "requests" package. When I run the Universe program that calls the function I get the "requests" package not found. I then created another python script that calls the python script that contains the "requests" package and it works when I call that script from Universe.  I must have something wrong in my path setting when coming from Universe and it cannot find the "requests" package. If I run the python script in Linux the program executes perfectly. If I invoke python from universe and import requests it works fine and finds the requests package.
