Hello Rocket Software Community / zoss-appdev Maintainers,I am currently utilizing the gzip utility from the zoss-appdev conda channel on z/OS. I noticed that the current version hosted on the channel is 1.13, which hasn't been updated in quite some time, whereas standard channels like conda-forge have moved forward to 1.14 and beyond.Could the development team look into updating the gzip feedstock for z/OS to version 1.14 or the latest stable upstream version? We would highly appreciate having access to the latest bug fixes and improvements while maintaining compatibility with z/OS hardware features (like zEDC).Thank you for your continued support of open-source tools on the mainframe!

I need to run one form instead of another. In Uniface 9.7, I used the [FILES] section of the ASN file, where I specified FORM_A.FRM .\FORM_B.FRMThis doesn’t work in Uniface 10.I haven’t been able to find an explanation.Kind regards,Anna Lisa Coppola

I have been recently hired by a company that creates their programs with Pick/BASIC. Where would be a good place for me to start learning this computer language? I have been learning a lot through my employment, but I would like to find something that could help me to accelerate my progress.

I know many LE callable services are supported in the ED LE370.dll.Many of these use the LE CEEIGZCT copybook but I cannot find it in ED.Is it available or do we need to create/copy it from elsewhere?

What happened to The Forum after the upgrade? We used to get an e-mail when somebody posted to a forum that we were registered on. Since the upgrade, nothing, nada, nil, zilch. So do we have to logon to see if there is interesting happening?

I have a customer who is using Shimms Universe database. Can anyone guide me to someone who can help build APIs and extract data for this customer? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings,I’m quite new on Exceed and I have a question regarding Exceed. It is used on two identical windows machines with identical Exceed configuration (xconfig) to display Scada UI.Windows PC 1 display large nice Fonts on Scada but windows PC 2 has Font size difference, they appear smaller. I was reading about Fonts might be missing and Exceed can use a failsafe Font in order to display a Scada environment. I this true and what can I do to verify that that fonts are used on both Exceed are the same?In the below pictures are the identical on both Win PC Exceed settings.Awaiting your advise. Kind regards,Panagiotis Galanos

Hi,Can someone suggest a contact at Rocket that I can use that who can provide and authorise an increase in users, specifically for an current mvbase installation. We want to add 11 users and have been trying for several weeks through our UK contact, but we are not making any progress. Can anyone else help please?

We have many WebDE applications . We also use Wildfly(formerly JBoss) as our Java Appication Server. As such, we make use of RedBeans.jar and asjava.jar in order to make connections , create RedObject(s) RedField(s) etc. We also make use of the uObject ReadData, WriteData, DeleteData, ClearData, PostRead, PostWrite, PostCreateServerEvent methods and the uQuery Select method.I think WebDE with Microsoft ASP applications woild be similar.MVIS seems to not take into account the above. Universe says it now ships WebDE with MVIS but WebDE is also at its end of life. Also, WebDE only works with Java 8 so it is not keeping up with Java releases. There isn’t even a Forum for WebDE in this community.Does anyone else use WebDE with Wildfly or ASP? If so, are you concerned about the future of WebDE? Do you have plans for your WebDE applications and how you plan convert the uObject and uQuery methods once WebDE is end of life?

We create update STD calendars in December to exclude dates (holidays, etc.) to prevent jobs using the calendar from loading into the schedule.  These are normally updated once per year, however, one of the calendars were updated 2X since 10/2025.  While I don’t think it’s possible, does anyone know if there is function, job, etc., we can run that would show the calendar Holidays prior to 10/2025 for a specific calendar?

Hi, We have SSO setup on our iSeries and can use IBM emulators to connect with SSO. While trying to setup Rumba there does not seem to be an option other than a check box under the active security protocols when using the Rumba security service. Is there additional software needed or are there more current instructions other that the 8.0 question that's out there

We are currently facing a critical issue with Accuterm 8. Our team has experienced intermittent session drops while actively working, causing the system to lock up. Although the Accuterm 8 sessions close abruptly, the AIX connection still appears active. Has anyone else had this experience?

Anybody know why this error would get generated when trying to EDA Convert a large file? Smaller files go thru fine and it seems it does not error at same point if I rerun EDA CONVERT on same file. Have ran the process numerous times on the same file and it seems to just choke 85-90% of the way.  Any suggestions are greatly appreicated. FYI using EDA Schema Manager 3.3.01

Hi everyone, I'm currently trying to deploy to my AIX servers, but the deployment isn't going through. Could someone please guide me on how to check the connection from my IBM i server to an AIX or Linux server? Deployments to Windows servers are working fine. Thanks in advance for your help!

We have a file that is reaching the 2 gig limit and we need to convert it to either 64-bit or Dynamic. Which is better and why? JRI

Hi community, I hope you're all doing well. I'm new to this forum and could use some guidance. Can anyone tell me which sub-forum is best for Exceed Turbo X users? I'm eager to connect with fellow users and make the most of my experience here. Thanks in advance! Best, Stefan

As part of your migration path, we have been slowly introducing Accuterm GUI calls from our TEXT screen subroutines. It all looks great and working well EXCEPT I cannot  bind the model forms or dialog boxes to the Accuterm Window displaying the Green Screen. I need to make the GUI forms and dialog boxes remain within the boundary of the green screen (Accuterm window) and more importantly ON TOP (always visible). If a user clicks anywhere on the green screen, then the GUI dialog/form disappears in behind the screen. Yes, is model so prevents the users moving forward but can anyone help me on this. I do not wish to call a script as there a lot of arguments passing between the green screen and GUI. It would make it beyond clumsy.  and secondly the splash screen ' This session is running a GUI application' appears in the middle of the green screen. The message has no use, is invasive and needs to be removed. Can anyone help with that also. Any advice will be greatly received.

Subject: D3.py Installation Issues - Python 3.11 - Seeking Help Hi everyone, I'm struggling to get D3.py working with Python 3.11, and I'm hoping someone can help me troubleshoot the installation process. I've gone through the documentation, but I'm finding it a bit unclear, and I'm stuck at the very first step. Specifically, when I try to import D3.py in a Python session: import d3py I get the "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'd3py'" error. I've attempted to install D3.py using pip: pip install d3py However, this results in a "File not found" error, even when I execute the command from the directory where I believe D3.py is located. To ensure we're on the same page, could we please assume a clean setup? Here's my current environment: Python 3.11 is installed and working. I have a copy of D3.py (with the Python license). I suspect the issue might be related to how D3.py is installed or how Python is finding the module. I'm also confused about the .pyconfig file. The docum

HiTrying to do this training, but it says download the sample programs from the Attachments tab. There is no attachments tab, where can I get the file MFETDUSER.zip which contains the code. Thanks

Hi all, I am trying to find my way through the web of everything here. I have managed to get to the Visual cobol training course and that has attachments, the first being vctTraining.zip.When I try to download it, I am informed it contains a virus? and the download is blocked.

Hi all,  I have been given the task of allowing users to auto login to a PICK database through Accuterm. I have been given a config ".atsc" file that when double-clicked starts Accuterm and has a tel-net connection ready to be logged into. I have recorded a Macro that allows the user to press Ctrl + F1 which then logs the user in. What needs to happen is when the config file named patmore.atsc is double clicked, the macro runs automatically after Accuterm starts. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated or if you could point me in the right direction. Haha Thanks Mike Lankester

Hi everyone,   I have a client with a successful D3 10.3 Linux installation who needs to meet auditing requirements by testing their Disaster Recovery (DR) procedure. The DR test is an annual event where they spin up a Linux server with a D3 instance and restore their database and applications.   Rocket's policy, as outlined in the Rocket MV End User Handbook (page 28), states that when running D3 in a High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) setup, matching licenses with unique serial numbers and identical configurations are required. This includes scenarios like using U2 Replication or any secondary mechanisms for failover, all of which need additional licenses.   My client is resistant to replicating their D3 Production environment and is also hesitant about the alternative solution of maintaining a separate D3 machine with minimal configuration. They’ve pointed out that Oracle allows a separate server setup "for the duration of their DR testing" free of charge. &n
