Greetings Fellow Members! My co-worker and I have a issue with SB+ that we are banging our heads because we cannot find a solution. Below is a snapshot of the problem   As you can see,  our "PTEXT" is not getting opened, here.  However,  this is happening with other files, like our "HELP" and "DEFN" files.     Almost all of are users are using GUI, but this has popped up with one or two users who use the Character mode.  To make this more interesting, the following could happen:  This doesn't happen all the time.  When the user clicks on the "Continue" button (Sometimes they have to hit the "Continue" button multiple times), the error message eventually goes away.      Lock up their session and need to kick the user out. I have checked the VOC pointers and they are correctly pointing to the correct data files and dictionaries.  We believe it is coming from our SB+ interface and/or other processes.  &nb

Forgive me if this has been asked before.  We're running an emulation called BluVista and we're thinking of slowly migrating to Accuterm or wIntegrate. I see in Accuterm , using some emulations that I should be able to get an answerback.  I wrote a sample program to send a CHAR(5) to trigger the answerback and when I run the program I do in fact see the answerback string displayed on the screen but I cannot figure out how to capture that string programmatically.  I've tried input, inputif, etc and I never see the string in the input buffer. Has anyone on here successfully used the answerback string in Accuterm? No supported signature schemes exist SSH.   I know that upgrading these to 8.1.2 corrects the issue, but we have over 200 installs of AccuTerm that we need to upgrade, but would like to upgrade Solaris first.  Any solutions?

We use mvBase extensively, along with Accuterm (GUI). We need to re-platform to another mv product as mvBase is EOL. We were all ready to go down the OpenQM  route, then Rocket aquirred the product and all development seems to have stopped! ( We have been deliberating the move for some time.) We have  looked at jBase and D3.  Rocket are pushing us down the D3 the path. I don't see many posts about D3 improvements, it all appears to be Universe or Unidata. So my question is, what would be your platform of choice if you were moving away from your current mv version, or are you happy with your current platform for the foreseeable future (5+ years). Can anyone suggest a video showing how to use a simple HELLO WORLD program in Visual Basic that can be executed and run in Visual Studio Code? I installed the Java JDK as instructed by the Rocket extension but when I run the program it keeps asking me to install the extension (even though the Rocket extension shows as already installed). My simple test program has a suffix of '.vb' but the Rocket instructions said it must be '.b'. Does that mean the extension is only for BASIC and not for VISUAL BASIC programs?!? When I did change my simple program's extension from '.vb' to '.b', I received this message from VSC which I don't understand or know how to correct: Java 11 or Open JDK 11 runtime environment is irregular. Please check your Java environment and settings. Hello, I've looked online, and from what I can tell: there's no information on either of the question. We've run into an issue where a call is issued, but the operation is terminated or cancelled, but there's no way to signal the same to UniVerse. The other problem we've is: we "believe" we're hitting the maximum connections allowed, which leads to delayed responses on the front end as the call "waits" for the connection to become available again. I wonder is there a way to check the connection availability ahead of time, instead of just sitting there. Thank you!

Is anyone able to connect to a remote server?I've added Rocket MV Basic 2.6.0 to VS Code. Have 'Open Folder'ed an empty folder, 'Initialize'd and 'Edit Server Config' setting... {     "datasource": "UNIDATA",     "servers": [         {             "address": "HOSTNAME",             "name": "HOSTNAME",             "username": "xxxx",             "password": "****",             "account": "demo",             "port": 31438         }     ] } [address, name, username and password all obfuscated] On my server 'demo' exists in ud_database. I try to 'Connect' and get an error 'Account demo undefined in UNIDATA'. I can see on the server that a session logs on (by locally cataloguing a UOLOGIN subroutine that logs the log on). I'm able to connect to the same server using the same settings from a U2.Data.Client .NET application. Is the source to this 'Rocket MV Basic' extension on Github so I can attempt to debug? MV folks, We have a GUI client that runs only in Windows to access our MV/Universe application - and am looking for input from other MV community members on Windows functionality / partition / whatever on a Mac for some users at a new customer.

We turn on work wrap in our Grids. However, we would like to programmatically force a line feed in a cell of the grid. We have not found the character to use to force this to happen. we would typically do: tmp.tab<1,row.ptr,col.ptr> = data.record<1,1>:data.record<1,2> we would like the data.record<1,2> to be on the second line in the cell of the table we have tried the pipe character (such as Combobox in a grid column).  Have not found this in the manual and/or several places online.------------------------------Jesse TilliaProman-ERP, Inc.West Seneca NY US------------------------------

One of my customers has several users who work on both the workstation at their desk and from other locations on a laptop.  Will the Personal installation allow for a single seat to be used for installations on two machines as long as they are only using one at a time?  Or will they have to use the Portable installation on a memory stick? I have installed the DBTOOLS BASIC DEVELOPER TOOL KIT but I am having issues. Here is some info and a couple of issues I am having and would like some suggestions or advice on what to do next or what I may have done wrong.  We went through the install steps and see these were installed. The BDT launches but fails to update the subroutines. I set permissions on the folder to /usr/ibm/uv/BP.O to write for everyone but it still fails. When connecting I get the following messages and click OK to update. I have set the permissions to the folder so that everyone has write permissions but still get this error. Since the program launches, I decide to try something simple like opening a program but get this error. The source code does exist in file of the shown in the VOC of CK.DATE. I have one user who has severe mouse problems inside a spreadsheet that has been executed from AccuTerm.  If the same spreadsheet is opened from Excel itself or from the file explorer, everything works normally.  The problem is a severe lag in any mouse commands.  If the user clicks on a cell, it is 2 to 5 seconds before the cell that was clicked on becomes selected.  If the user tries to drag a selection in order to select multiple cells, there is also a severe lag. The user is on the latest version of Accuterm I have which is 8.1.2.1137.  The mouse pattern file is identical to what I and other people are using. Has anyone encountered this before?
