Rocket Host Access

Unfortunately, I can no longer find the reference, but I'm pretty sure I saw it in the Rocket online help "somewhere". I'll try and describe what I'd like to do, and maybe someone can say either than it's not supported or, if it is, how to use it. I download files from the mainframe to the PC using a file containing a bunch of command along the lines of RETR "TEST.CLIST(AVBROTT)" E:\\xxx\\xxxxx.TEST.CLIST\\Beyond_compare_PC_and_TSO_files\\Merged_TSO_scripts\\AVBROTT.rex   I then select Transfer, Transfer list and Play on the file containing all the RETR commands What I would like to do is ensure that the files transferred to the PC all have trailing blanks on each line removed. When I saw the BLANKSTRIP documentation, it seemed like that might do the trick, but if it does/can, I can't figure out how to use/define it. ------------------------------Michael SimpsonRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hi all, By any chance has anyone encountered or has an idea what might be cause for a custom macro built to interact with Extra X-treme 9.7 to not work for some users and work for others? The notification pops up after starting the macro. Following up with the testers for the result of the Debug. Odd thing though is that some members of their team that where placed a version back (9.6 version), the issue was resolved. Hoping for your thoughts!#Extra!X-treme#MainframeAccess#VisualBasic#Extra!

Hi Folks, I hope someone can help me out with this weird issue.  I have a script that has been working fine up until the last Update to v10.2.1.4931.  Now, after sending a PF3 command to the session, it freezes the screen.  Can't move the cursor, can't send input, etc.  I know exactly where it is occurring in my script, at line 1081: bzhao.SendKey "<PF3>" Up to that point it does a few other sendkey statements, like bzhao.SendKey "<Enter>", no problem. If it put this instead: MsgBox ("Hit F3 key") I run script in debug mode, and it works fine (as long as I hit the F3 key manually, and click on OK). I have tried putting disconnect and connect statements right after the sendkey, but it completely disregards them.   Anyone seen this before, or know how to fix this? Thanks.------------------------------Daniel HaydenMiddleware Infrastructure specialistSyniverse Technologies Inc.COMMERCE CA US------------------------------

Hi, Are the licenses mapped at a user level or at a device level for the Rocket Emulator? Since we have multiple users assigned to a single device - we want to know if that would be counted as 1 license, or it will be counted as multiple licenses for multiple users?------------------------------debabrata DasRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hello, where can I find some examples for using the new 64 bit EHLAPI64.DLL with .net  program ? I have Rumba+ Desktop 10.2 SP1 and the old code with 32 bit version seems do not work anymore (even changed from "EHLAP32.DLL" to "EHLAPI64.DLL") Thank you very much.#Rumba+Desktop10.2#Rumba

What I am trying to achieve is the ability to transfer files from the PC to the mainframe as well as then deleting those files after the transfer. I have a solution, but would appreciate someone saying either "Yepp, that's roughly the way to go" or "No, MUCH simpler to do it this way instead" I started by creating a DOS BAT file containing the following echo on "C:\\Program Files\\BlueZone\\bin\\BZFTP.EXE" /Fmichael.zft /A"C:\\Users\\userid\\OneDrive - xxx\\BlueZone\\Transfer\\PCTOTSO.BTL" del "E:\\xxx\\userid.TEST.CLIST\\Beyond_compare_PC_and_TSO_files\\Merged_TSO_scripts\\BACKUP*" Michael is my standard configuration connnect file.PCTOTSO.BTL contains this scenario STOR "E:\\xxx\\userid.TEST.CLIST\\Beyond_compare_PC_and_TSO_files\\Merged_TSO_scripts\\BACKUP" TEST.CLIST(BACKUP) When I run this from a DOS window, I get prompted for my mainframe pw (as expected). The file is transferred as expected, and then Rocket waits for me to close the connection (I like the fact that I can see

This may well be covered somewhere. I tried searching, but my impression was that the search results were for ANY forum rather than this particular one, so I kinda drowned in all the results. Assume I have the option/ability to create a copy/paste list of files I want to transfer from the mainframe to the PC. For example 'myuser.a.b(member1)' 'myuser.a.b(member8)' 'myuser.a.b(member25)' Is there a way I can put this into some sort of Notepad script (obviously (?) with commands surrounding the filenames) such that I can then run the script within Secure FTP transfer (or outside) so that (in this example) these 3 files are transferred to the PC (I realize that I would obviously want/have to specify the receiving PC directory where these files end up). In this example, there are only 3 files, in reality, it might be anywhere between 30-50, so being able to create/edit a script list for the transfer would simplify things enormously.  Thank you.------------------------------Michael Simpso

Hello team,I am in a process to migrate Extra! code to Reflection. In Extra I am using the following function to pass Enter to the mainframe screenSendKeys("<ENTER>")I can;t find how can I replace it with SendControlKey SendControlKey ("<Enter>") - fails in the code SendControlKey (13) - fails on the screenCan you help me how to use it in Lotus Script please ?Thanks, Alon#Script#Reflection

we are currently trying to migrate from Rumba Desktop 9.5.0 to Rumba Desktop 10.2 in Rumba Desktop 9.5.0 we have a bunch of handy vb-cripts which are places as buttons (type "Play Macro")  on the toolbars. but I can't create a Play Macro Button from vb-script in Rumba Desktop 10.2. I can't even see my vb-files in Tools\\Edir Macro or Tools\\Run Macro. in documentation it stands that .rmc, .js and .vb macros are supported. Had to switch to Rocket TE Web Edition.  The javascript seems to have some propriatary function. Where can I find some sample scripts for: 1. paste to an external document, such as notepad. Figured out how to copy and copy append the screen details to the clipboard; 2. run through a list of items.  I can travel the different screens but want to have it process each item in the list through a javascript.   I've searched the form and can't find anything.  Was using to use bluezone app & had lots of vb scripts not those no longer work since moving to Rocket TE WE.  We don't have the addon for vb script, only have the one for javascript. We have the Reflection Desktop Pro version installed in our desktops. And, I use the command line utility of ssh command offered by the software. When I run ssh in the windows terminal/ConEmu emulator, it clears the screen and jump to the top of the terminal to open an interactive session of a remote host which is annoying from user experience.  Ex - ssh -q -o GSSAPIAuthentication=yes <username>@<host> - When I run it in the windows cmd, it runs and authenticates. Once authentication is done, clears the screen and jumps to the top of the terminal to open a session. How can I restrict this behaviour ? Note - in Intellij, it works fine in place. Doesn't clear the screen. Similarly, when we run the command in verbose mode, it does not clear the screen and jumps to the top. And, openssh also works fine in place for windows cmd without clearing the screen and jumps to the top of the terminal. Only this micro focus installed ssh.exe causes an issue. How can I trouble shoot i

With the withdrawal of support for Internet Explorer 11 and ActiveX, together with the restriction of Java applets by modern browsers, Web-to-Host includes the Host Access Web Launcher (HAWL) as an alternate means of running host sessions.  The HAWL provides the new ability to run the same host sessions using Chrome, Edge, or Firefox browsers.  When you start a Web-to-Host session from a supported browser, the HAWL starts and opens the Web-to-Host session itself.  Supported browsers Google Chrome Microsoft Edge Mozilla Firefox Note: If you use Internet Explorer 11, Web-to-host performs as normal, without the need to use the HAWL.    Prerequisites Web-to-Host Server 6.9.2 or higher Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.1 #Rumba#NewRelease-Feature

It annoys me that the default working directory for downloading to the PC is hard-coded (?) to ....\\My Documents\\BlueZone\\TransferI tried editing the Working Directory entry in  Computer\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\BlueZone (64-bit)\\10.1  but it just seems to get reset to the BlueZone\\Transfer entry again. Is there really no way to set the default download folder to where I want ?------------------------------Michael SimpsonRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

You guys will know better than I as to whether what I'm suggesting/asking for has all sorts of complications that I'm not aware of.  I use the Play Transfer List  a lot to transfer 2 mainframe files to the PC for comparison using Beyond Compare. What I notice a lot is that my connection drops quite a lot (I'm guessing a timeout, which is understandable). My "problem" is that I click on the Play Transfer List , select the file I'm using, and ..... nothing happens (because I've been disconnected). When that happens, I know I need to reconnect and I'm up and running again. How difficult would it be to "notice" that there is no connection and, say, change the Play Transfer List icon to red or similar? Unless it's staring me in the face, I can't seem to see anything on the screen that indicates my connection has been dropped.------------------------------Michael SimpsonRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

Hi, I am hoping someone on here has played with RTE using z/OS zCX containers.    I currently have RTE WE 10.1.5.0065 running successfully under z/OS V2.5 in USS with IBM supplied NODE.JS version 18.14.2. My question is about running RTE in a z/OS ZCX container as documented in the administrators guide. For the zCX container, I have s390x/node.js V20 docker image downloaded s390x/node - Docker Image | Docker Hub here. However, what is not clear in the admin guide is whether or not I need to use the extracted download image for z/OS USS which is the larger .pax file on your website, or do I use the extracted .tar file instead?  I think the Linux .tar download is what I need, and have been using to create the docker image. I actually had the docker build run successfully with the .tar version, but had issues because the first s390x/node.js package was the "slim" version, which i hadnt noticed, and doesnt contain everything needed. RTE startup had errors, and i couldnt connect to it, so I

After entering an ip address for a router that I am trying to log into I am prompted with a text box to enter my password (my username is part of my settings file, so I don't have to enter it.).  My password consists of two parts. When prompted with the text box to enter my password I have to type a long (13 digit) password and then I need to enter an 8 digit number from my RSA token (the 8 digit number changes about every 30 seconds, but my long password is static). I tried to use the "mouse mapper" function to save my password so I could just press one keyboard key and click my mouse one time to get my password to paste into the password text box, but, this function does not work with the password text box. After I do log into a router, If I use my key + mouse click combination, my password will paste into my Cisco command line interface, but prior to logging into router, it appears that "mouse mapper" will not work. Is there any other way that Reflection can save my long passwo

Reflection Desktop Pro Version - I created a settings file ( with settings for Secure Shell, XTERM, Keyboard Map, color of font, width of the screen, etc.) for logging into routers. Each time that I click to open the file, I am then prompted to enter the ip address of the router that I want to log into. Intermittently though, for some reason, when I click on my file to start a new ssh session, instead of being prompted to enter a new ip address for another router that I want to log into, Reflection simply begins connecting to the last router ip address that I connected to. The ip of the router that I last logged into, is intermittently being saved inside my settings file (which has a .rdox file extension). So I have to keep making duplicates of my original file, which does not have any ip address saved in it. This is so frustrating and has been going on for years. I asked this question in Chat GPT and the only solution that it came up with was "create duplicate copies of your orig

Hi Sir, Your help is very much appreciated. I was struggling from week. I have sample VB script code that have created bzwhll object that will open session & login into bluezone mainframe. So 32-bit also installed) I registered the bzwhll.dll with 32-bit & 64-bit version using System32>regsvr32 filename.dll The same code will work in windows7 (v5.2) with .hta/.vbs. problem with

Hello dear colleagues, first of all, thank you for the opportunity. I am a programmer of the Reflection Basic Editor scripts. Please look at both attached pictures. I just need to recover 2 things,  1) The debuging button "View Variable" is missing (when I am running a script from the script editor). It stop working several years ago. I reintalled the whole application. Even in a new laptop and I can't make it work.  2) In the same way, the F1 help its also missing. No information at all is comming when F1 is selected. I appreciate if you can help me. I like to use Reflection basic Editor, but "View Variables" and "Help" is very necesary.  Thank you in advance.      Omar R.#Other
