Hello all,         I use ODBC from rocket to open tables universe into excel.   It work pretty well for field with Single Value  (S) but not at all for field with Multivalue (M)   Is it the normal behaviour ? The keyboard editor allows you to program function keys with any or all of the standard modifier keys, CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT.  I want to write a program to program a function key but the documentation seems to imply that I can program a CTRL function key (shifted or unshifted) or an ALT function key (shifted or unshifted), but it doesn't seem to allow me to program a CTRL-ALT function key (shifted or unshifted).  I doubt that I would ever personally need a CTRL-ALT-SHIFT function key but I'm writing a little program to allow the user to program his own function key without going into settings.  I'm trying to figure out if I should allow any combination of CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT like it does in the keyboard editor or just allow CTRL (shifted or unshifted) and ALT (shifted and unshifted).------------------------------Steve HenkelDirector of ISRocket Forum Shared Account------------------------------

In BASIC, strings can be delimited with single quotes, double quotes or back-slashes.  The plug-in doesn't recognize \\s as string delimiters. Also, multi-line strings aren't allowed, but if there's unmatched quotes, the string syntax highlighting will continue across multiple lines until a matching quote is found. hello all,  I have an issue when I make a LOGTO  "ACCOUNT" into shell universe on windows. What is STX :  ifExis() This folder exist at the C location.  If I use XADMIN, I don't have this problem. I see in the MVIS config that you can add some username/passwords to be used to force API calls to supply some authorization, namely the username/password configured in the MVIS console.  Wondering if it's possible to do some kind of authorization using the "native" Universe/PICK logins so that when an API is called and then runs a subroutine, that the subroutine being run would think it's being run in the security context of the user based on the supplied credentials.  Maybe something like Basic authorization with the username/password passed in the Authorization header.  Ideally, some kind of token could be generated and this token passed in as a bearer authorization scenario in the headers. Mainly wanting to be able to use the same username/password that a user would  use during a normal login outside of MVIS as part of the  API calls.  Any help/ideas appreciated!

I have noted that the MV BASIC extension creates ".vscode" subdirectories with a simple settings.json file containing "settings": {    "[rocket-mvbasic]": {      "editor.codeLens": false    }} This appears to be how the Code Lens functionality is turned off by default. If I adjust this file to use "true" instead of "false" then I do get the functions and variables presented in the Outline view as well as in the breadcrumbs facility. I know of 3 specific issues with MVVS that have impacted our attempts to use it in-house, but these are not listed on the Known Issues page in the Documentation portal. When working with new software I use the Known Issues list to help me understand if a problem I am experiencing is something already known about or if it is new (or unique to my scenario). Some existing UniVerse IDE tools still maintain item locks within the database to provide concurrent access controls to source code. How does MVVS manage concurrent access to the same source code file? How well does it work with tools that obtain record locks before code editing begins? Having encountered a problem with MVVS I want to raise a support case so I can document the specific details of the problem (which are not appropriate for public forums). There is no "Product" option for MVVS. I tried the link "Unable to find your Product? Need assistance? We can help!", filled in the form with copious details and submitted it, but got no case number! Hi, This is Keerthana. I'm Senior Software Engineer in TP project at Mitra Innovations. Currently, we are attempting to establish a connection between U2 Python and native Python. Our concern is that what we have done first is used UOPY module to access the subroutine and data file in BP source in XDEMO account using session. But U2 python does not require a session because the u2py module is included in the XDEMO account. But if we want to connect U2 python and native python there must be a configuration or session right? Can we connect this without using a session? Or are there other ways? We checked the .pyconfig file in the UV and tried changing the path to PYHOME and PYLIB there. But we are unable to connect. So Now we are thinking for the connection purpose we can use the any middle ware, Like MVIS. I'm not sure our thought is correct or not. Hi All, I wonder if anyone has ever tried to create an SBXA Character Screen with more than 80x25 characters. I have tried the following: Terminal definition in SBXA Standard and Condensed Column/Row 132/43 Terminal setup in SBClient Wyse60 with 132X43 In principle, everything works, although I have to edit the screen definition with the screen editor to enter the window coordinates 0,0,131,41 because in /SD it isn't accepted. However, the problem is that not all characters are displayed correctly. For example, in the screen I created for testing purposes, texts are not outputted from line 20 onwards, but the field contents are still visible. It seems that something with the cursor Addresing goes wrong by trying this hack... I know I'm pushing the boundaries of SBXA with this, but I want to give it a try to gain some time until we have the replacement of character screens with GUI ready.. We would like to put a UniVerse account (all files, VOC, BP, CUSTOMER...) under source control, we use GIT currently for other software projects. Has anyone been able to successfully do this? Our strategy in our development account was to convert all files into folders (type 19). But the VOC file and Dictionary files (I-types) have problems with being a folder.  Is there a way to elegantly put all files in a UniVerse account under GIT source control management? Or are we just beating our heads against a wall? The closest we've come to success is when we created "mirrored" files for the VOC and Dictionaries that were folders and used light-weight triggers to update them when the production (hashed) files were updated. That worked fine and GIT saw changes in those mirror files. But we then ran into an issue with the GIT and the .gitinclude file configuration. We only want to the show changes in our mirrored files. Hi all, has anyone ever used the drill-down process in SBXA  Selection Process? (F6 Addit in /pd.s) I wonder how to return te selection from the called process to the main-screen where the initial-selction process was called and skip the initial-select.ExcampleF3 - Function on Field calls S.SELECT.ITEMS which selects some items and displays information. The goal is now to give the user the ability to change the displayed fields after the selection has taken place.I got to manage the call of another selection process in the F4 - drill-down slot (e.g. S.SELECT.ITEMS2) which works on the same select list, but after returning from S.SELECT.ITEMS.2 the user still is on S.SELECT.ITEMS instead of returning to the screen with the selected Item from S.SELECT.ITEMS2. I already tried to Set option S and option D  to Options in the called Selection-Process but no luck... I have installed MVIS 1.3.4 and was hoping I would not have to re-key the Subroutines and dynamic arrays.  The manual talks about this on page 37  under "Importing a U2 REST server".  However, it says to use the U2 RESTful Web Services Toolkit to export/import.  I do not have any idea where to find this toolkit? MVIS admin does not have anything except Import/Export config (cm.ini) U2 Web Services Developer Tool contains our SOAP services but not the MVIS subroutines/arrays. There is a file that looks promising in C:\\U2\\CM\\u2rest names <ACCOUNT>.xml.  Is it as simple as copying that XML file from one server to the other?  What am I missing? What is the best way to have one Accuterm session with limited menu options but also on some workstations to have a full menu session option.  I know to use the menu designer to control the master menu.  Can we install Accuterm in two different directories and have the two different Accuterm session icon point to different starting directories to allow the full menu session?   We need to lock down the limited menu Accuterm session so standard users can only use Accuterm as configurated to the servers we define but would like superusers and support staff the full version.   We control who can use which session type by AD group.  We use SCCM, a deployment tool that distributes software, to deploy Accuterm .    

The dual terminal debugging feature seems to have stopped working correctly. I am on Windows 11 running Unidata 8.2.3. I used to use this feature heavily when debugging character base screens. Without duel terminal, that task is very difficult. When a debug is encountered, the cmd line program first shows "!" as it should but entry of any valid debug command returns: ***Illegal debugger command.
